DAYS OF OUR LIVES RECAP: SARAH AND XANDER SAY I LOVE YOU

TL;DR: Your Days of Our Lives recap for October 30, 2026. Sarah and Xander say I love you and kiss, EJ has a fiery nightmare about Kristen, Julie picks friendship with Foster, and Chad refuses to become his father.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Sarah Horton and Xander Kiriakis Say I Love You

The Days of Our Lives recap October 30, 2026 gives Salem the words it has been waiting on for months. Sarah Horton told Xander Kiriakis she loves him. He said it back, and they kissed.

It started small. Their daughter stopped by the hospital dressed as a Scottish prince before heading out trick-or-treating. Xander told Sarah to go enjoy Halloween, but she stayed and said it: “I love you, Xander.”

Xander was still in pain, so Sarah told him a bedtime story about a fair doctor and her Scottish prince. He noticed the story was missing someone and asked, “But what about Brady?”

Here is the twist. Sarah started to tell him that Brady broke up with her, and the pain meds knocked Xander out before she could finish. So the man she just kissed still does not know she is free.

Timing is everything in Salem. One day earlier, Brady broke up with Sarah after watching her beg Xander to stay alive. A week ago Xander took a bullet for her. Nobody should be surprised the words came this fast.

Are Sarah and Xander Back Together on Days of Our Lives?

Not in those words yet, but they said I love you and kissed. Whether Xander wakes up ready to make it official is the question our Days of Our Lives spoilers are tracking next.

Days of Our Lives Recap: EJ DiMera’s Nightmare Puts Kristen in a Ring of Fire

Kristen DiMera spent Halloween lurking in the square in a mask and robe, carrying a bag of cash for Sophia. EJ DiMera may have spotted her. He did nothing about it.

Then EJ went home, and things got dark. He found Kristen ready to send Stefano up in flames, insisting it was the only way to stop their father from hurting anyone. EJ snatched the torch. Next, Kristen was tied to a chair in front of the fireplace, ringed by candles and begging for her life.

Cat Greene walked in and asked the question that mattered: was this really about Kristen, or about how he disowned his only son? She took the torch. EJ warned Kristen never to touch Johnny again and untied her, and she promised never to come back.

Then EJ and Cat kissed, and he woke up on the couch. None of it was real. EJ talked himself out of killing his sister in his sleep, which tells you everything about where his head is since he cut ties with Johnny.

The real scare came last. As EJ and Cat went to make popcorn, a figure in a cloak and a gold mask watched them through the window. We have a guess. We will wait for the show to confirm it.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Chad DiMera Refuses to Become His Father

EJ had already tried to push Chad DiMera around in the square, warning him to keep Leo in check. When EJ brought up disowning Johnny, Chad pointed out that is exactly what their father did all the time, and said he refuses to become that man. Then he walked off to spend the night with his son.

Thomas DiMera had his own peace to make. He told Chad he is fine with him being friends with Cat, then apologized to Cat for chucking a pumpkin at her. Chad is still angry at her and would not say why. Later, father and son visited the Day of the Dead ofrenda, and Thomas left flowers and a letter for his mom.

Julie Williams Picks Friendship With Foster

Julie Williams told Foster she adores him but sensed he wanted more than friendship. Foster admitted his late wife still lives in his heart, even though he felt drawn to Julie. They agreed to stay friends. Julie later told Maggie Kiriakis she feels sad anyway, and that Doug is her one true love.

Sarah Horton Said It First, and Xander Slept Through the Best Part

Our take: this is the most Salem love scene possible. Sarah finally said the words, Xander said them back, and then he dozed off before hearing that Brady is gone. The next time he opens his eyes, someone has to tell him. We would bet it is not Sarah who gets there first.
