Brooke’s Secret Meetings Finally Reach Ridge

Ridge confronts Bill on Thursday, November 12, and the Bold and the Beautiful spoilers make clear it is no social call. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) learns that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) has been meeting with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) in the house she shares with Ridge, and by Thursday Bill faces Ridge’s wrath. Bill’s defense, in the promo, is pure heartbreak: “I have to make it right, ’cause I don’t know what I’ll do without my Katie.”

The week builds to it. On Tuesday, Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) reaches a breaking point in her marriage. On Wednesday, the tease says Ridge learns the truth, and the promo shows Brooke trying to talk him down: “We’re trying to get through to Katie!” Katie tells Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) that “it just feels like my heart is being ripped out of my chest,” and on Thursday she delivers devastating news to her niece.

Katie already drew her line. On November 3, Katie told Brooke and Donna to stay away from her, her family and Bill, and Bill was left alone whispering, “Forgive me, Katie.” Now Ridge is the last to learn what Katie read on Bill’s phone back on October 29.

Ridge Saw This Coming on October 30

Here is what stings: Ridge saw it coming. On October 29, Brooke told him she “may have found a way” to stop Katie’s war on Forrester, then dodged when he asked how. The next day he brought up Brooke’s history with Bill and said he was sure it was part of the problem. He even wondered aloud whether he should go talk to Katie himself. Ridge Forrester was right, and nobody told him.

Our readers clocked it too. “Wait till Ridge finds out Brooke called Bill,” one fan wrote on our Facebook page on October 30, and another said she can’t wait for him to find this out. They get their wish in the same week Ridge learned Steffy is pregnant and exploded at his COO, Carter, for keeping quiet about the surrogacy. A man who just shouted “I want to hear the truth!” is in no mood for one more secret.

Does Ridge Believe Bill’s Promise to Make It Right With Katie on Bold and the Beautiful?

Probably not, and the reason goes back to how this started. On October 22, Brooke told Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), “I talked to Bill, and I asked for his help,” hoping he could get Katie to ease up on Forrester. Donna saw the danger at once and warned that Bill would love to see Ridge and Eric’s company burn. So the meetings Ridge is raging about began as a plan to save his company, run through the man whose money built Logan, the rival trying to bury it.

That leaves Ridge with a nastier question than whether Bill loves his wife. It is whose side Bill was on. Bill fears he has “created a monster,” and the Friday tease calls the whole thing his “scheme with Brooke” as he scrambles to justify himself. When we asked whether Bill was playing peacemaker to steal Forrester, no spoiler backed it up, and none does yet. But Ridge Forrester has never needed proof to suspect Bill Spencer.

Brooke Stands Between Two Husbands

Brooke’s defense is simple: it was all for Katie. Maybe so. But she kept Ridge in the dark while he asked her straight out how she planned to stop Katie, and Bill and Brooke were once married themselves. Ridge Forrester knows that history better than anyone in town.

There is buzz that Bill is planning a grand gesture to win Katie back, and our look at the week of November 9 has Katie teetering. If Bill’s big apology lands on Ridge first, don’t be surprised if Katie hears about it from the wrong person. My gut tells me Ridge doesn’t swing first. He asks the one question Bill can’t answer: if this was all about Katie, why did Brooke have to hide it?
