Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Ridge Forrester Rages at Carter Walton for Sleeping With Steffy in His Office

Friday, Ridge Unloads on His Best Friend

Does Ridge find out Steffy slept with Carter? The latest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say yes. A new sneak peek has Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) raging at Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), his best friend and Forrester’s chief operating officer, for sleeping with his daughter on the sofa in Ridge’s own office. Spoilers place it on Friday, November 6. The same clip has Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) collapsing to the floor at the cliff house.

That is a long way from where the week starts. On Wednesday, Steffy tells Ridge and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) only that she is carrying a baby for Carter and his wife, Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire). Ridge was always going to have words with Carter about that, and the promo already has him ordering Carter over to Steffy’s place.

But the sofa is a different fight. The sofa means Ridge knows about the night itself, the August night Steffy believes made this baby.

Thursday, Steffy Still Holds Back

On Thursday, Ridge and Taylor demand answers as the truth begins to unravel, and Taylor pushes Steffy to come clean. Spoilers say Steffy still does not give them the whole story. She cannot bring herself to be completely honest with her mother, and the part about Carter is the part she keeps.

Taylor has been asking what is wrong with her daughter since late August, and we laid out why Taylor will not let this go. So Thursday ends on a half truth. By Friday, Ridge has the whole thing, down to the furniture. Something happens in between, and nobody has reported what.

Who Tells Ridge That Steffy Slept With Carter?

No spoiler says yet. But the list is short, because only two people know where that night happened. Steffy and Carter slept together on the couch in the Forrester CEO office in mid-August. Her husband, John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), got the surrogacy story, and so did Daphne and Taylor. Unless someone was listening at a door, the sofa line came from Steffy or Carter, or from Taylor if Steffy breaks to her mother first.

Steffy is the obvious pick. Taylor is a psychiatrist, and she pushes hard on Thursday. If Steffy cracks, Taylor has to decide whether Ridge hears it. One fan on our Facebook page is sure Taylor would happily keep Steffy’s secret. I am not so sure she could sit on it while Ridge is yelling at the wrong man.

My money is on Carter Walton. The clip makes a point of how badly the guilt is eating at him, and the actor has clearly thought about this exact scene. “If Carter told Ridge about what happened in the beginning, he’d be very upset with him,” Saint-Victor said this week, adding that Ridge would see “these are two adults” and tell them, “I’m very disappointed in both of you.”

Then he went further. With Carter having lied to everyone and pressured Steffy, he said, “I have to imagine that probably would be the breaking point of their friendship.”

Ridge Has Been Fooled in That Office Before

Here is the part nobody is talking about. Ridge has stood in front of these two once already. On August 21, he came to the door while Steffy and Carter were arguing about whether to confess and demanded to know what was going on.

On August 24, Carter did the talking, and Ridge walked away believing his friend had simply been pushing Steffy back toward Finn. Steffy said nothing. That is why Friday will sting. Ridge was not just lied to about a baby. He was lied to about that night by Carter Walton, the man he trusts to run his company, and he believed every word.

What Ridge Does to Carter Next

Spoilers do not say whether Carter Walton keeps his job. Ridge already admitted Forrester is in trouble, and losing his chief operating officer now would hurt. Could Ridge fire him anyway? Don’t be surprised if he tries, and don’t be surprised if Steffy begs him not to.

Then there is Steffy on the floor. Spoilers do not say why she collapses or what happens next. If I know these writers, though, a pregnancy the cover story says is weeks younger than it really is will not stay hidden much longer once Ridge starts asking questions.
