Bold and the Beautiful Recap November 4: Steffy Forrester Tells Ridge and Taylor She’s Pregnant as a Surrogate

STEFFY TELLS RIDGE AND TAYLOR, “I’M EXPECTING,” AND TAYLOR SAYS, “THIS ISN’T RIGHT”

TL;DR: Steffy Forrester told Ridge and Taylor she is pregnant as Carter and Daphne’s surrogate. Ridge was stunned, and Taylor said it doesn’t feel like her daughter and she wants to know what’s really going on. Carter told Steffy no one can know the truth, then panicked.

Steffy Forrester Tells Her Parents “I’m Expecting”

“I’m expecting.” That is what Steffy Forrester blurted out to her parents on the Bold and the Beautiful recap November 4, and for about five seconds it went great.

Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes jumped up to congratulate her. Then Finn told them it is not what they think, and the hugs stopped.

Steffy could not find the words, so Finn reminded them how much Daphne and Carter want a baby. Ridge and Taylor put it together: their daughter agreed to be Carter and Daphne’s egg donor and surrogate.

Taylor pointed out what a huge ask that is, emotionally and personally, with extensive screenings, “because you carry a child you have to give away.” Had she already said yes?

Steffy nodded. “I agreed. I’m pregnant.”

Ridge rubbed his face in disbelief. Taylor did not even try to hide it.

“No. No, no, no. This isn’t right. This doesn’t feel like you. I want to know what’s really going on.”

What Did Steffy Tell Ridge and Taylor?

Steffy told her parents she is pregnant because she agreed to be Carter and Daphne’s egg donor and surrogate. Finn helped explain it. Ridge was left speechless, and Taylor said the choice does not feel like Steffy and she wants to know what is really going on.

An Anxiety Attack Before Lunch

The day started with Steffy Forrester setting the table at the cliff house. Finn asked if she was ready. “As ready as I was to tell you,” she shrugged. He said he is still processing all of it, but he loves her and will support her.

Once Finn left to pick up food, Steffy flashed back through the last few weeks and had an anxiety attack. She called Carter.

Carter tried to talk her through it as she panicked that her parents would see through her lie. His answer: this is their only option, and no one can know the truth.

When Finn came back, Steffy admitted she was nervous. He held her hand and told her it would work out. He also told her how shocking all of this was for him, and how Daphne’s reaction to the heartbeat helped him understand, so they would take it one step at a time.

Ridge picked Taylor up at her office, and Taylor wondered why Steffy wanted to see them on such short notice. Over lunch, while Finn talked about his conference, Taylor kept one eye on her daughter. Then she asked why Steffy called them there.

Carter Walton Sweats It Out at Forrester

Carter Walton spent the day pacing. Daphne Rose asked if he was okay, and he told her Steffy was telling her parents about the surrogacy that day. He was worried about Ridge.

Daphne was sure Ridge would come around, the way Finn did. “Surely, Ridge will come around.”

Later, Daphne showed him nursery fabric samples. Carter snapped out of it and told her he will give her everything she has dreamed of. Then she left, and he started to panic all over again.

Steffy Told Half of It, and Taylor Heard the Other Half Missing

Steffy Forrester walked into that lunch with one job: get the surrogacy story out and keep everything else in. She did it. Her father barely spoke. Her mother, a psychiatrist who has known her whole life, listened to the whole thing and said, “This doesn’t feel like you.”
