The Young and the Restless
Exclusive Monday Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead: Not Pregnant! Poor Abby Winters’ Dreams Shatter At the Doctor’s Office
This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead finds Abby Winters learning she isnโt pregnant while Phyllis Summers plots against Victor Newman.
ABBY WONDERS ABOUT A BABY IN THIS Y&R CANADIAN DAY-AHEAD
TL;DR: This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead opens with Abby Winters feeling queasy and wondering out loud whether she could be pregnant, which sends her and Devon Winters off in search of answers. Audra Charles and Claire Newman trade threats over Holden Novak, Sally Spectra canโt figure out why Billy Abbott is so calm, Phyllis Summers plots her revenge on Victor Newman, and Billy takes a meeting heโd like to keep secret. Want the bigger picture? Our Y&R spoilers have it all.

Abby Winters Takes a Test, and Devon Winters Takes a Seat
This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead opens at Society, where Abby Winters greets Devon Winters with a kiss, walks him to a table, and listens to him glow about working with The Articulettes. Sweet, right? Hold that thought. She tells him that she and Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor, Dom to anyone short on breath, have missed him, then fills him in on the rough patch Adam Newman has hit since Sally Spectraโs baby arrived, courtesy of Chelsea Lawson, Genoa Cityโs unofficial news desk.
Then Abby drops the real headline. She has been nauseous, and she says out loud the thing she has barely let herself think: could she be pregnant? Devon gently reminds her that shouldnโt be possible. Abby counters that people with the same medical condition have gone on to have babies, and the next step is obvious. Take a test. For a woman who runs a restaurant, a household, and a young son, she moves from โmaybeโ to โscheduledโ at a speed that would make an air traffic controller blush.
Soon the couple is sitting in the OBGYNโs office, where the test is already done and the waiting is not. The doctor is cautious but admits a pregnancy is possible, and Devon, who never imagined heโd be in this chair, watches his wife picture Dom as a big brother. When she asks how he would feel, he says he would love it. They wonder aloud if this could be fate and head off to check the labs, holding hands like two people trying not to hope too loudly.
The answer isnโt the one Abby daydreamed about, and the air goes out of the room. She admits it was fun to imagine another Winters in the world. Devon sees how sad she is and suggests a walk and a visit with their son before the two of them figure out how to talk about her dizzy spells, which have been waiting patiently in the corner this whole time.
Do you think Abbyโs dizzy spells are something to worry about, or is a happier twist waiting down the road? Email your theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com. We read every one.

Audra Charles Hands Out Nicknames and Threats
Over at Crimson Lights, Audra Charles uses her free time to needle Claire Newman about Holden Novak, and Claire promises to take her down. The two start on opposite sides of the room, because even a showdown deserves a dress rehearsal, and then Claire corners her and starts prodding about her crimes.
Audra is unbothered. She reminds Claire that everyone in this conversation has a criminal record, โcupcakeโ included, and that if Claire brings her down, Holden goes down with her. She figures Claire only threatens her because Holden has lost interest, and tells her to get it over with. Claire fires back that her aunt taught her everything she knows. Audraโs answer is a pointed question about what Claire thinks she would do to her if she would kill an art dealer over money. Nobody orders a latte after that.

Sally Spectra Smells a Rat in a Very Calm Husband
At Sally and Billyโs place, Adam suggests Sally take the baby out of the room so Billy Abbott can clock him. Sally says there will be no punches, and Billy adds that violence isnโt on his mind. Adam stalks out, and Billy cradles the baby until she drifts off.
Once the baby is asleep, Sally asks about confronting Adam. All it does, she says, is stir up the daughter Adam lost and send him straight to her door. Billy hopes Adam gets help and assures her the two of them are good, but she is baffled that he keeps insisting heโs fine. The second he leaves, she calls Audra over to recap, and they marvel at how calm Billy was, which in this town is not a comforting adjective. Sally begs her friend to tell her the marriage will be perfect and Billy isnโt backsliding. She worries he is shutting down, the way he does before he watches, waits, and makes a move. Audra assures her he wonโt do anything, which only convinces Sally that someone is keeping something from her.

Phyllis Summers Orders a Bear-Skin Rug
Welcome-back drinks at the GCAC are a lot less welcoming than advertised. Lauren Fenmore and Michael Baldwin are greeted by Phyllis Summers, Daniel Romalotti, Cane Ashby, and Lily Winters, and Phyllis wastes no time telling Cane he should thank her for taking Arabesque to new heights. Everyone tries to ignore her, and Cane and Lily walk off, which is the polite way of saying the room got smaller.
Phyllis grabs a table with Lauren and tells her this is her moment to have real control and power, and that together they will leave Newman in the dust. Meanwhile, Michael and Daniel sit by the door and quietly debate whether itโs too late to get out of Arabesque, with Daniel promising to proceed with the proper amount of caution. Then Michael loudly mentions what a nightmare Phyllis is, and she lurches over for round two. He reminds her that Victor Newman gifted her Arabesque and warns her not to poke the bear. Phyllis declares she will kill the bear and turn him into a bear-skin rug. When they offer that healthy competition is its own reward, she gags with an โOh barf! Barf!โ that deserves its own ringtone.
Phyllis believes she has to make noise to impress Victor and Nick Newman, and that her ex has no faith in her, so only the dramatic route is worth her while. Daniel reminds her they arenโt there to agree with everything she says, and that respect has to go both ways, so she should listen to her partners. She answers that sticking it to Victor is non-negotiable and she means to get ahead of him so he can never screw her over again. Over in the corner, Cane and Lily share a salad until Lily is called away and Billy arrives. He and Cane chat about Jill Abbott and the baby until Lily returns, at which point Billy leaves in a hurry. Cane confides in Lily that heโs worried Billy is up to something. Billy, meanwhile, is on the phone moving a meeting, and Cane tells Lily he doesnโt think Billy will ever let Chancellor go. She isnโt worried. Famous last words, Genoa City edition.
Billy Abbott Takes a Meeting Over Coffee
Back at Crimson Lights, Billy runs into Audra, who tells him she was with his wife and that Sally is upset. He says heโll head home after his meeting, and Audra notices how weirdly calm he is and warns him not to screw things up with her friend. Billy nods like a man who has already screwed up the calendar.
Once sheโs gone, a lawyer arrives, and Billy tells him this meeting stays between them until Chancellor is his. They discuss the quickest way to take control, which has to look like it fell into his lap, because nothing says โaccidentโ like a lawyer, a plan, and a table outside a coffeehouse. Then Adam walks in, spots the pair outside, and starts snapping pictures.
Is Billy playing a long game, and is Adam about to blow it up? Tell us in the comments below.
Monday Delivers a Maybe and a Warning
Between Abby Wintersโs hopeful maybe, a cupcake insult at Crimson Lights, a bear that should probably consider hibernating, and a very calm Billy Abbott with a lawyer and an audience, Monday has more secrets than the Society wine list. And the one person holding a camera is the one person who shouldnโt be.
