The Young and the Restless
BARTENDER, ANOTHER ROUND! Y&R’s Phyllis Summers Owns the Club, the Company and Victor’s Favorite Tequila, So Why Does That “Bravo” Sound Like a Threat?
Y&R’s Phyllis Summers bought the GCAC while Arabesque bleeds cash, and Victor’s Bravo has fans asking what she’s really planning next.
PHYLLIS SUMMERS BOUGHT A BAR WHILE ARABESQUE BLEEDS CASH
TL;DR: Young and the Restless fans watched Phyllis Summers take out a pile of loans to buy the Genoa City Athletic Club and the office building across from Newman Tower, all while Arabesque is hemorrhaging money. She’s already bragging to Victor that she owns his favorite tequila. The Y&R spoilers have Cane warning her, but Phyllis has a new office now, and it has a bar.

Arabesque Is Losing Money, So Phyllis Went Shopping
Phyllis Summers runs a company that is hemorrhaging money, and her solution was to buy more property. She took out a pile of loans and became the new owner of the GCAC and the office building that sits across from Newman Tower. Most CEOs would cut costs. Phyllis bought a country club.
On paper, she calls it strategy. In practice, she now owns the best seat in the most gossipy room in Genoa City. Every deal, every affair, and every whispered secret in town eventually crosses that bar. For a woman who once ran The Grand Phoenix, owning the room where Genoa City talks is a dream come true.
Arabesque, meanwhile, is a hollowed-out shell she’s trying to rebuild. Fans can already picture where she’ll be doing most of that rebuilding, and it isn’t behind a desk.

Phyllis Has Already Picked Her Barstool
The first thing Phyllis did with her new club was march up to Victor Newman and rub it in. She told him she owns the GCAC now, and she made sure to mention she also owns his favorite tequila. That’s not a businesswoman. That’s a woman claiming her territory.
The GCAC gives Phyllis everything she loves at once: an audience, an open tab, and front-row seats to everyone’s business. Will she spend her mornings at Arabesque and her afternoons at the club? Fans are betting the club wins by noon. Phyllis has never met a spotlight she didn’t want to stand in, and the GCAC dining room is the brightest one in town.

She Bought Cane’s Leftovers
Here’s the twist that makes this even juicier. Arabesque was the company Cane Ashby built with his father before Victor took it, hollowed it out, and handed it to Phyllis. The GCAC was one of the properties Cane scooped up back when he was posing as Aristotle Dumas. Phyllis now owns his company and his club.
Cane and Phyllis have plenty of history, and she still won’t tell him what she plans to do with Arabesque. He sold to her anyway. Does Cane really believe she wants the properties for their history, or is he waiting to see her fall on her face?

Victor’s “Bravo” Should Scare Her
Phyllis expected Victor to be furious. Instead, he said “Bravo.” He explained he gave her Arabesque to reward her for saving Nick’s life and to test what she could do with it. He says he’s satisfied. Victor handing out compliments should make anyone nervous, and it should make his former rival very nervous.
Cane warned her that Victor can’t stand anyone else’s success, and Phyllis waved him off. She claims she has eyes in the back of her head. That’s a bold thing to say while you’re sitting at the bar with your back to the door. Phyllis has been here before with Victor. When has his approval ever come without a price?
