Days of Our Lives Recap: Brady Black Breaks Up With Sarah Horton

The Days of Our Lives recap October 29, 2026 ends a romance. Brady Black broke up with Sarah Horton.

Nobody who watched Monday should be shocked. Sarah told Brady that Xander jumped in front of the bullet meant for her, and the hour ended with Brady standing silently in the doorway while she begged Xander not to leave her. Brady saw everything he needed to see.

Three days later, he made it official. It took Brady less than a week to do what Sarah has spent months avoiding: say out loud that this was not working.

What hurts is the timing. Sarah has a patient death hanging over her career, a man dead after the lab shootout, and the father of her daughter in a hospital bed. Now she has lost the man who stood beside her through most of it.

Brady has had his own brutal month. His daughter Rachel needed surgery for peritonitis, Kristen slipped back into her life at the hospital, and Brady told Kristen she may only come back if she works on herself. A man carrying all that does not have room to wonder where Sarah’s heart is.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Xander Kiriakis Wakes Up to Jada’s Questions

Xander Kiriakis woke up. After a week like his, that alone is a win.

He took George’s bullet in the abdomen to save Sarah, shot George in the chest, coded on Monday and was brought back, and went through surgery. On Tuesday Maggie sat at his bedside and forgave him for everything, and Philip begged him to open his eyes. Now he has.

The welcome was short. Jada Hunter questioned him. George is dead, and Xander is the man who fired at him. Self-defense looks obvious from the outside, but Salem police do not close a shooting on sympathy, and we expect Jada to keep pulling at every thread of that night.

Friday brings what the spoilers call an emotional reunion for Sarah and Xander. With Brady out of the picture, that reunion just got a lot more interesting. Sarah and Xander share a daughter, and nobody in that hospital has forgotten it.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree Get Wonderful News

Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree finally got wonderful news, and nobody in Salem has earned it more.

Last week Chanel had her lumpectomy, and Kayla said everything looked good, with hormone treatment and monitoring still ahead. Then on Wednesday Johnny and EJ cut ties, with EJ telling his son he will not be hearing from him again. A good day was overdue.

We would bet the celebration stays small, just the two of them and the kids. Do not expect a call from EJ.

Paulina Price Worries About Abe Carver

Paulina Price grew concerned about Abe Carver. She has reason. A week ago Abe was forgetting things, his hands were shaking and his handwriting had turned messy. He worried his symptoms look like Lexie’s, asked Kayla to keep it private while she runs tests, and told Paulina he was fine. Paulina is not buying it anymore.

Kayla’s tests are the clock to watch now. If those results land before Abe tells Paulina himself, that conversation is going to be a hard one.

Our take: Brady did the brave thing, not the romantic one. He watched Sarah fall apart over Xander and refused to be anybody’s runner-up. Sarah now has the freedom she never asked for, and Xander has woken up to a cop at his bedside. Friday’s reunion will tell us whether she runs toward him or away from all of it.
