The Young and the Restless
Somebody Went Missing! Is Y&R’s Audra Charles Calling In A Deadly Favor To Make Claire Newman Disappear Too?
Audra Charles has a missing art dealer, a Claire who will not quit and a favor to call in, and Young and the Restless fans should be nervous.
AUDRA CHARLES IS ONE PHONE CALL FROM MAKING TROUBLE VANISH
TL;DR: On Young and the Restless, Claire Newman is whispering that Holden Novak helped Audra Charles deal with a shady art dealer who disappeared, and Audra may be about to call in a favor from her past to keep that story quiet.

A Whisper, A Vanishing Act, And A Very Loud Theory
Audra Charles has a reputation for staying calm, and calm women have the most to lose once a whisper starts traveling. Claire Newman has started one. At Society, she told her mother, Victoria Newman, that Holden Novak helped Audra deal with a shady art dealer who disappeared. Not moved, not retired, not fired. Disappeared. The two women leaned in, dropped their voices and wondered out loud whether Audra and Holden killed the man.
Before anybody calls the police, the killing theory belongs to Claire and to nobody else. She decided Audra might be capable of it and Holden is not, which tells you exactly who she is willing to hang. Nothing has been proven. What exists is a story Claire believes, a man who reportedly vanished and a woman with every reason to hope that story never leaves that table.
Victoria gave the sensible advice and told her daughter to stay far away from this. Claire gave the Claire response and said she won’t drop it until she asks Holden to his face. Telling Claire to leave a mystery alone is like telling a cat to ignore a laser pointer, and Audra is the laser pointer.

Claire Was Holding A Price Tag Before The Dealer Ever Came Up
On October 28, Claire cornered Audra Charles at Society, accused her of squeezing Victoria over patents and announced she had finally figured out Audra’s secret from Los Angeles. Audra called the patents business and got defensive, which is exactly how you look when someone has found the right door. Claire told her there would be a price for her silence, so leverage was already on the table. Whether that Los Angeles secret and the missing dealer are one story or two is anyone’s guess, but Claire clearly thinks she is holding both ends of it. On Monday, November 9, she pushes Audra’s buttons, and a woman with a secret and a short fuse is in for a very long Monday.
Holden Is The Only Person Who Can Settle This
Holden is bopping around Europe, according to Victoria, with no date for his return, and Claire is lonely enough to start building cases out of her own heartache. Victoria suggested she fly over, which would park Claire across a table from the one person who knows the real story, and that is Audra Charles’ worst nightmare. Claire is starting to wonder whether Audra was right that Holden is over her. Audra, for her part, told Claire he was using Malcolm Winters as an excuse to stay away. Victoria thinks he keeps his distance because he cares about Claire. Three readings, one man across an ocean, and he is the only one who can say which is correct.

The Favor Has Three Possible Faces
On Friday, November 13, Audra Charles turns to someone from her past for a favor. The spoiler doesn’t say who, so everything from here is a guess, and guesses are the fun part. A lawyer would be sensible and boring. A fixer would be sensible and expensive. The third face is the one that keeps Claire’s mother awake: whoever, if anyone, helped a dealer vanish in the first place. Then there is Audra’s mood. She told Sally Spectra her dream of a family now feels like a far-off fantasy and that not everyone hits the jackpot, then watched Nate Hastings kiss Stephanie Simmons goodbye at the GCAC and had to look away. A woman running that low on hope doesn’t always reach for the polite solution.
