STEPHANIE SAYS GOODBYE FOR NOW IN THIS Y&R CANADIAN DAY-AHEAD
TL;DR: This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead sends Stephanie Simmons off with a goodbye that’s only for now, while Billy Abbott’s suspicions start pointing at Kyle Abbott, Adam Newman can’t let the baby go, and Claire Newman whispers about a very shady disappearance. Want the bigger picture? Our Y&R spoilers have it all.

Stephanie Simmons Says Goodbye…For Now
This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead opens with a goodbye, but notice the asterisk: it’s only for now. In the Memorial break room, Stephanie Simmons finds Nate Hastings fuming, because Dr. Andrew Bishop has decided Nate can’t even watch a surgery from the sidelines. Stephanie takes this personally and decides the man has to go. He’s rude, she would happily fire him herself, and she would enjoy every second of it. Nate, ever the diplomat, admits plenty of surgeons are rude, himself included back in the day, and says he and Dr. Bishop will never be friends but the guy is a good surgeon. Stephanie, who does not enjoy being pushed, stays unconvinced. Then Nate tells her he loves a woman with passion, and she giggles. Hospital politics, now with flirting.
Nate has a better idea than a firing squad: a proper send-off before she leaves town. And what a send-off it is. By the time the two arrive at the GCAC, he has already handed over a “little something something” to remember him by, and Stephanie admits it was almost enough to make her stay. Almost! He promises the welcome back will be even better, which is a lot of pressure to put on a homecoming. They’re still lingering over a kiss when Audra Charles spots them and has to look away, because there is no such thing as a private corner at the Athletic Club.
Stephanie’s car arrives, there’s one last goodbye kiss, and she’s gone. That leaves Nate holding the bag, since the one person who overruled Dr. Bishop just left town. Audra heads for the door, and Nate chases her down to explain. She says she’s happy for him, that he’s a good man who deserves it, and he thanks her. She admits it’s weird, though he does seem happy. Nate points out that Stephanie is only gone a few weeks, and a compliment floats through the air that Audra receives with total confidence. Awkward? A little. Over? The Chief of Staff isn’t going anywhere.

Victoria Newman Catches Herself Acting Like a Teenager
At Society, Victoria Newman starts a text to Kyle Abbott, stops herself, and sighs that she’s acting like a teenager. Correct. Claire Newman pops up and asks who “Boris” is, and Victoria says he’s the accountant who sends her stupid memes. Sure he is.
Claire admits she’s lonely, with her mom so busy and Holden Novak away with no return date. Victoria suggests she fly over, but Claire is starting to wonder if Audra was right about Holden being over her. Victoria, who has never been Team Holden, tells her to let him bop around Europe and move on. Claire insists he’s good deep down, then drops the bomb: Holden helped Audra deal with a shady art dealer who disappeared. In whispers, mother and daughter wonder whether the two of them killed the man. Claire thinks Audra might be capable of it, but not Holden. Victoria tells her to stay far away from this, yet Claire won’t drop it until she asks him in person, because she changed and maybe he has to.
Victoria’s final theory is that Holden is staying away because he cares about her. Coming from a woman with a secret apartment, that’s a bold take on how people show they care.
Diane Jenkins Asks Why Kyle Abbott Lost His Killer Instinct
Over at Crimson Lights, Kyle is writing yet another text to Victoria when Diane Jenkins shows up with the latest on Nikki Newman making a fool of herself by crashing the photo shoot. Diane is determined to make sure Vibrante fails. Kyle thinks going after it is a waste of time, which has his mother wondering why he stopped salivating at the chance to ruin a Newman company. Excellent question, Diane. The answer is in his hand, and it keeps buzzing.
Adam Newman Cannot Stop Thinking About Burp Cloths
Back at the Newman Ranch, Adam Newman sits at home thinking about burping a baby who isn’t his, a sentence nobody expected to write about a Newman. Then he remembers Billy Abbott telling him the baby will not replace the daughter Adam lost, and Adam takes off. Subtle, it isn’t. And no, he is not heading to a therapist.

Billy Abbott Apologizes for Being an Ungrateful Ass
At the Abbott estate, Billy stops by to apologize to his brother Jack Abbott for being “an ungrateful ass.” Progress! Then he immediately starts complaining about Adam doing daddy things, like burping the baby. Billy confronted him about crossing boundaries, but it didn’t seem to sink in. Jack, to his credit, understands Adam’s side. He helped deliver Summer Newman, and that has kept the two of them connected. Billy can’t see anything but trouble coming, because he knows this is about the daughter Adam lost. Jack urges him to let Adam get past it and focus on his wife and baby. It’s lovely advice, and Billy has always had a complicated relationship with lovely advice.
Then Billy changes the subject to Kyle and Victoria being in London at the same time. He suspects Kyle is plotting to sabotage Vibrante, since Kyle was cagey when he asked about the trip. Jack agrees to talk to his son. Billy has the right two people in London and the wrong motive.
Jack Abbott Tells Everyone to Leave Vibrante Alone
Kyle and Diane walk in, and Billy makes a very quick exit. Jack tells his son what Billy suspects, and Kyle gives his word that he is not undermining Vibrante and that Billy needs to chill. Jack’s reply covers both of them: nobody is meddling with Vibrante. Diane smirks. Kyle gets the message.
After Jack leaves, Diane thanks her son for staying silent, and Kyle still thinks going after Vibrante is a mistake that will only make Jack angry. Diane isn’t backing down, no matter how many times he urges her to reconsider, and she walks off. Left alone, Kyle does what he always does and calls Victoria. He has an update: Billy thinks he’s spying on her to sabotage Vibrante, so they’re still in the clear. Victoria isn’t sure they should tempt fate again. Kyle swears he isn’t undermining Vibrante. Technically, he’s undermining her better judgment.
Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott Tempt Fate Anyway
Victoria’s “I’m not sure” makes it all the way to the secret apartment before it gives up. Kyle and Victoria meet at their place, and nobody there is thinking about fate, Vibrante, or Claire’s whispering. Fate, meanwhile, is taking notes.

Audra Charles Leaves Sally Spectra Alone With Adam Newman
At home, Sally Spectra and Audra wrap up work, and the talk turns to Audra’s dream of having a family, which now feels like a far-off fantasy. Not everyone hits the jackpot like Sally has, Audra says. They move on to Billy’s issues with his mom and with Adam, and Billy is worried Adam is too attached to the baby. They hope the problem goes away. Then Adam arrives, and at their request, Audra reluctantly leaves the two of them alone.
Adam tells Sally that Billy laid down the law and ordered him to stay away from her and the baby. Sally is sure her husband is grateful. Adam knows, but he’s also resentful, and he assumes Billy thinks he’s fixated on replacing the daughter they lost. Adam insists that isn’t true. Sally says she would never have suggested that to Billy, and Adam assumes Chelsea Lawson might have helped plant the idea. He confides that he brought up having another baby with Chelsea and she shut him down, and it seems definite. Sally is sorry, but she wonders if Chelsea is right that Adam is trying to heal a wound, which isn’t fair to Chelsea or to the daughter they lost.
Then the baby cries, and Adam urges Sally to go get her. When Sally returns with the baby, Adam tells her he always knew she’d be a natural. And that’s when Billy walks in and sees the two of them together. He’s the man who banned Adam from coming around, and he has just caught the whole scene in one frame. Terrible timing for everyone but the plot.
