LESLIE THOMAS SHOULD BLOCK TED AND SHANICE’S WEDDING

TL;DR: Beyond the Gates has Ted and Shanice planning a Christmas wedding, and Leslie Thomas is already digging for dirt. Normally we’d be yelling at Leslie to back off. This time? Go ahead, girl. Shanice wants a wedding, Ted wants his Fairmont Crest lifestyle back, and neither of them seems to want each other. The BTG spoilers have the rumor mill running overtime, and we’re not mad about it.

Leslie Is Already Sniffing Around

Leslie Thomas smiled and congratulated Ted Richardson and Shanice Johnson on their engagement. Then she went right to work digging for gossip, and she found some.

Ted and Shanice can’t agree on where to live. Ted wants a mansion in Fairmont Crest. Shanice wants something simpler. That’s not a small difference in taste. That’s two people who want completely different lives.

And Leslie has never kept a secret in her life. Spoilers say the rumor mill is about to run overtime.

Even the family isn’t feeling it. Ted’s daughters Eva Thomas and Kat Richardson only agreed to stop fighting until after the wedding. That’s not a truce. That’s a countdown.

We Know Leslie’s History

Let’s not pretend Leslie is some innocent bystander here. She had an affair with Ted years ago while he was married to Nicole Dupree Richardson. She got pregnant, took his money, and had Eva anyway.

Then she came back to town in wigs and disguises to blow up his anniversary party. She even posed as a nurse along the way. Subtlety is not her thing. Leslie Thomas still has feelings for Ted. Everybody knows it except maybe Leslie. So no, her motives aren’t pure. But sometimes the wrong person says the right thing.

This Wedding Is Totally Ridiculous

Here’s the truth. Ted and Shanice getting married makes zero sense. Shanice clearly wants to be married, and Ted happened to be standing there.

She wants to play a suburban country bumpkin with a picket fence and a garden. Ted wants his big Fairmont Crest lifestyle back, the mansion and all. Those are not two people building a life together. Those are two people building two different lives and calling it a marriage.

Even Shanice’s own brothers weren’t sold on Ted when they rolled into town. They saw it. Leslie Thomas sees it. The only person who doesn’t seem to see it is the bride.

Shanice is warm, loyal and grounded. She deserves to hold out for someone she’s actually in love with, not someone who fits the wedding photos.

Ted and Nicole Aren’t Done

Meanwhile, Ted keeps circling back to his ex-wife. He’s the one who went house-hunting right here in Fairmont Crest, practically down the street from Nicole. This week, Ted and Nicole turn heads as a pair, while he’s supposedly planning a Christmas wedding with someone else.

We said it when Anita Dupree started cheering for a Nicole and Ted reboot, and we’ll say it again. These two aren’t finished. Nicole has Kial Rollins, but she called losing Ted mourning the death of a dream. Nobody mourns a dream they’re over.

If Ted marries Shanice while he’s still hung up on Nicole, everybody loses. Shanice most of all.

Team Leslie on this one, or should she stay out of it? Tell us in the comments!

Speak Now, Leslie

So here’s where we land. Leslie Thomas blocking this wedding would be the most useful thing she’s done in Fairmont Crest. We’d never trust her motives, and we’d still hand her the microphone.

Stand up when the minister asks if anyone objects. Spill whatever you dug up. Let Shanice run free and find the real thing, and let Ted figure out what he actually wants before he drags another woman down the aisle. Chaos with a purpose is still chaos, but at least this time it helps somebody.

Head to our Facebook page and tell us if Leslie should crash the wedding.
