HEATHER WEBBER’S NEW CASTLE HAS PLENTY OF HIDING PLACES

TL;DR: Heather Webber says she bought Wyndemere to be near her grandson, and this wild speculation asks whether she is also hiding Esme Prince inside, with more General Hospital spoilers coming as it unfolds.

A Castle With A Prisoner Problem

Heather Webber has the most convenient excuse in Port Charles and the most convenient bank account. She told Trina Robinson she came into money from a faulty hip replacement settlement, told Anna Devane she bought Wyndemere to be closer to her grandson, Ace Cassadine, and then, alone in the Cat’s Eye Lounge, picked up the card sitting next to Trina’s flowers like a woman sorting her mail.

The timing is its own little clue. On October 20, Alexis Davis knocked on Valentin Cassadine’s door while she was handling his Wyndemere purchase and announced that somebody had bought Spoon Island with a cash offer. Valentin was crushed, and Alexis did not know who the buyer was. Ten days later, a newly rich Heather strolls back into town and says the castle is hers.

Wyndemere also has a past with hidden women. The history file on Elizabeth Baldwin says that when Nikolas Cassadine kept a pregnant Esme Prince prisoner there, Liz kept quiet and even pretended to be pregnant herself to explain the prenatal care. The family tree lists Esme as Ace’s mother, and Heather calls Ace her grandson. So the castle has kept Esme once, and nobody has to teach it how.

Heather also sounds wonderfully sincere. She told Trina she rented the lounge only to talk, she told Anna she wants to make amends with everyone she hurt, and she did it all while owning a house with more corners than the police can search. A woman with nothing to hide rarely shops for that many hiding places.

The Biggest Fan Needs A Mailing Address

Trina’s flowers have been signed by a “biggest fan” for weeks. Emma tracked both bouquets to a sender called “Alan Smith,” and the fan website Trina found crops everyone else out of years of photos of her. A note in an earlier bouquet said the sender could not wait to see her face to face, and the latest delivery came with a club bought out for an audience of one.

That is a lot of patient, expensive, behind-the-scenes effort for a woman who says she only wants to make amends. Heather Webber swore she is not the stalker, and Trina threatened to have her arrested anyway. Now picture a castle with a locked room, a hidden woman with a grudge and a grandmother who can say, with a straight face, that she has been busy with paperwork. A stalker needs a home base, and Wyndemere has the square footage. It would also explain why the “biggest fan” never needs to be in the room while Heather is the one clapping.

Who Lowers The Drawbridge?

Anna warned Heather that moving into Ace’s life could backfire, especially with Laura Collins and Liz in the picture, and that she would be better off visiting. Heather Webber agreed Anna was probably right and kept the drawbridgeanyway. Laura is in Ireland with Kevin and Ace, so the grandson Heather says she moved for is not even in the country.

A woman who truly wants to rebuild a family does not usually buy the largest house in town while the family is overseas. Meanwhile, Trina and Portia Robinson have promised to make sure Heather leaves Port Charles. If Esme is behind those walls, every visitor is a threat, every delivery is a risk, and every neighbor with a question is a problem. Thursday’s spoilers have Emma and Gio getting suspicious, and suspicion is how castle doors get knocked on.

Who Opens The Door First?

If Heather Webber is hiding Esme, Wyndemere is the perfect place to do it, and Port Charles already knows the house keeps secrets, with plenty of rooms nobody has bothered to count.
