DAYS OF OUR LIVES RECAP: JOHNNY DIMERA TAKES WHAT HE KNOWS TO THE POLICE

TL;DR: Your Days of Our Lives recap for October 5, 2026. Johnny DiMera told Belle and Jada what he knows about EJ and DiMera Pharmaceuticals, Joy asked Alex for his guest room, and Kate gave Maggie a reason to look twice at her house papers.

Johnny DiMera Walked Into the Police Station and Talked

The Days of Our Lives recap October 5, 2026 belongs to Johnny DiMera, who did the one thing his father never planned for. With his wife, Chanel DiMera, beside him, he sat down at the station with District Attorney Belle Black and Commissioner Jada Hunter and told them what he knows about EJ DiMera and DiMera Pharmaceuticals. First, he told Chanel how sorry he was that it had come to this. Then Belle and Jada asked her to step out.

Across town, Joy Wesley picked up the phone with a request of her own. She asked Alex Kiriakis if she could move into his guest room for a while, and Stephanie Johnson said yes. Not happily, but yes.

Back at the station, Johnny drew a hard line. He said he had nothing to do with the cover-up or with altering the tests, and that part of it happened before he knew anything. He did own one piece. He went to Sarah Horton‘s office and left the clue about arsenic. Then he asked the room a fair question: is that a crime?

Belle’s news was not what anybody wanted to hear. She warned that the proof may be hard to come by, and the name George O’Halloran came up alongside EJ’s. Johnny did not flinch. He said he would stand behind what he knows whatever it costs him, even though he fully expects his father to try to discredit him or cut him off. Nobody knows better than Johnny what his father is capable of, he said, and he wants EJ stopped before anyone else gets hurt.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Chanel Waited to Take Johnny Home

Chanel never left. She waited out the whole interview so she could take Johnny home and hear every word of it from him. Smart woman. If EJ is coming after her husband, she wants to know exactly what they are up against.

Will EJ DiMera Find Out Johnny Went to the Police?

If I know these writers, he finds out fast, and Johnny already told us the playbook: discredit first, disown second. The catch is Belle’s problem with the evidence. With the paper trail thin, Johnny’s word may be the strongest thing Salem has on EJ, and that paints a target on his back.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Joy Asked Alex for His Guest Room

The call came at the worst possible moment. Alex had planned a surprise night alone for Stephanie, and he had sorted the childcare. Jada and Shawn Brady will take Kelsey once a week, and Stephanie offered to ask her own parents to pitch in more.

Then Joy rang. Stephanie agreed to the guest room, hesitantly, and then told Alex how much she misses the way things used to be at home. Alex promised it is only temporary. Temporary is a big word in Salem, and Joy has a way of stretching it.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Kate Gave Maggie a Reason to Pause

Earlier, Kate Roberts stopped by the hospital to see Joy. Joy talked about leaving and the trouble waiting on the other side: home care, and a place to live that works for her daughter, Kelsey. Now you know why she wanted that guest room.

Later, Kate caught up with Maggie Kiriakis, who was going over a fresh stack of house paperwork. Maggie ran through what the disclosure form covers, from vermin and mold to structural trouble and hazardous materials. Kate did not sound convinced the list was as clean as it looked. She has an idea brewing, and with Kate that can mean anything.

At the pub, Chad DiMera and Shawn shared a friendly moment, two men glad to find themselves on good terms. In this town that counts as a small miracle.

Where all of this goes next is in our Days of Our Lives spoilers, and Friday’s episode is in our October 2 recap, the day Johnny first laid it all out for Rafe.

Johnny DiMera Chose the Truth Over His Father

Johnny walked into that station knowing EJ would come for him, and he went anyway. He owned the arsenic clue, refused to take the fall for the rest, and said out loud what everyone in Salem has whispered about his father for years. That is not a weak son. That is a dangerous one. More Salem coverage here.
