MICHAEL CORINTHOS AND CHASE HAVE ALREADY THROWN FISTS ONCE AND NOW MICHAEL IS SWINGING AGAIN

TL;DR: Michael Corinthos and Harrison Chase already beat each other bloody in the Quartermaine kitchen once this year on General Hospital. Jason Morgan had to physically pull them apart. Now the spoilers say Michael decks Chase again, and this time it is not a mutual brawl. Michael throws first. Whatever Chase said or did this week, it was enough to make a man who already knows he’s being framed stop caring about consequences.

These Two Already Went At It and Learned Nothing

Let’s rewind. Back in January, Harrison Chase told Michael Corinthos he should be locked up on General Hospital. Michael, who had been biting his tongue for weeks, finally snapped and asked Chase how long it would be before he was back in Willow Tait‘s bed. Chase threw the first punch. Michael threw one back. They pummeled each other in the Quartermaine kitchen until Jason Morgan ran in and physically separated them. Chase stormed out promising Michael would pay. And then they went right back to living under the same roof like two loaded weapons propped against the same wall.

That was Round One. The spoiler video for this week shows Michael decking Chase again. Round Two. And this time, Michael Corinthos swings first.

Chase Has Only Gotten Worse Since the Last Fight

Since that January brawl, Chase has not backed down. He has doubled down. He went to the PCPD, overheard Nathan West telling Molly there were no new leads, and handed Nathan the theory that Michael might have a key to Drew’s house. That tip led to a search warrant. That search warrant led to Michael being hauled into the interrogation room. And the key that was found on Michael’s keychain? Willow planted it there herself when Michael wasn’t looking.

Ric Lansing blew a hole in the case by revealing that Wiley saw Chase handling Michael’s keys. Justine Turner recused herself because she believes Willow is guilty. Dante Falconeri and Nathan both agreed Michael wouldn’t be sloppy enough to leave a key on his own keychain. The PCPD’s case is crumbling, and the man who built it for them is Chase, who has been Willow’s unwitting weapon this entire time without the slightest clue.

Tracy Quartermaine warned him that if he couldn’t let it go, he was in the wrong family. Chase did not let it go. Dante suspended him in December for undermining the department. Chase kept going. The man has been told by everyone in his life to stop, and he keeps choosing Willow over every person waving a red flag.

Michael Already Knows He’s Being Framed and Chase Keeps Making It Worse

Michael walked into that interrogation room knowing it was a trap. Ric told him on the phone that if they played it right, the PCPD would suffer the consequences. Michael has been playing defense, letting Ric handle the legal strategy, letting the frame job fall apart on its own. He has been the calmer version of himself for weeks.

But something snaps this week. The spoilers say Michael’s temper flares on Monday. The preview video shows him decking Chase. Whatever Chase says or does between now and that punch, it is enough to make Michael abandon strategy and go straight to violence for the second time. And this time, Jason may not be around to break it up. Jason is on his way out before his summer break. Sonny is dealing with his own chaos. Michael may be swinging alone.

The Quartermaine House Cannot Survive a Third Round

Brook Lynn lives in that house. She and Chase are trying to adopt. She already vented to Michael about Chase’s behavior on the stand. Tracy lives in that house and already told Chase he was in the wrong family. The children live in that house. Two men who have now physically fought twice are sleeping under the same roof, eating at the same table, and sharing hallways with kids who should not be watching their family tear itself apart.

And the cruelest part? When Chase eventually discovers that Willow planted the key, drugged Drew, kept him paralyzed, worked with Jenz Sidwell, and injected Drew with more drugs when he tried to blink SOS to Alexis Davis— Chase will have to live with the fact that he punched Michael first, accused him publicly, handed the PCPD a bogus lead, got himself suspended, and nearly helped convict an innocent man. All because Willow Tait played him from the first note and he never once questioned the melody.

Michael’s fist is the second consequence. The truth will be the one that actually breaks him.

Is Chase going to figure out Willow played him or will he double down after Michael Corinthos hits him again? Sound off and share this with every General Hospital fan you know!

WATCH THIS: How low will Sidwell go?

@soapoperamag Sidwell doesn't do anything… out of the kindness of his heart. So why is he pushing Willow into Congress? What does he gain? Because if you think he's doing this for HER benefit, you haven't been paying attention. #GeneralHospital ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
