Y&R Speculation: Victor Newman Did It, Cole Dead, & Claire’s Wrath

It’s only a matter of time before Claire Newman learns that her beloved Granddad Victor Newman is the one who made her father Cole Howard sick & ultimately pass away. While Victor talks out of one side of his mouth about not wanting Kyle Abbott to hurt Claire, the other side of his mouth hires Cole to run the publishing division at Newman Enterprises, which kicked off with a long business trip. Claire Almost Killed Victor, Victor Forgives & Forgets

It seems The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has already forgotten that his new precious grown-up granddaughter Claire Grace now Newman (Hayley Erin) nearly killed him & a few of the other Newmans. Creepy Claire & her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) were quite calculated about their intentions to kill as many of the Newmans as possible & very well could have killed him, but they didn’t & supposedly Aunt Jordan is dead. Regardless, Claire’s dad, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), is now dead & there is going to be hell for Granddad Victor to pay once the pieces are put together by Claire.

Victor Pretends to Care for Cole, Then Kills Him

Well, basically, that’s what happened. Cole Howard, with the help of Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), doubled down on Victor Newman by getting Aunt Jordan out of Victor’s on-site prison cell & into a supposed secure prison. Victor lost all trust in both Cole & Michael & had them both at the bottom of his list with only a long road to re-earning his trust. Coincidentally, both men no longer work for Victor, & Cole Howard is dead.

Michael Baldwin is still alive because he’s not in love or involved with Victor’s daughter, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Cole Howard was, again, out of nowhere, & now he’s dead. 

How? 

Victor Newman offered Cole a job at Newman Enterprises to run the publishing division. Who knew there was a publishing division to start with? How convenient that Newman ended up having one for Cole to manage just after Victor Newman had had his fill of Cole & Cole moved into the Tack House with Victoria. Also, how convenient that Cole was sent away on business immediately & for quite a while, & then returned to Genoa City with a cough.

Victor Newman used everything in his power to kill Cole Howard, & not to protect his family like he often professes.

Creepy Claire is Crafty & Aunt Jordan Isn’t Dead

Aunt Jordan isn’t confirmed dead. What was done with her body? The answer is nothing. If Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) can come back from the dead the way she was killed, then Aunt Jordan most certainly can & Claire just might be pushed to work with her to try again to take down the Newmans after Claire learns that Victor took out her father on purpose.

So, will Claire take out The Almighty Victor Newman, or will she severely threaten him? Victor has been doing everything in his power to end Claire’s relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Claire can easily pull Victor aside & remind him of what happened in Oregon to him, Victoria, his son Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), & his wife Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Or, Claire could ditch Kyle Abbott & get with her new Vesper pal, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), & then help him help Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) take over Chancellor Industries. Claire is currently Nikki’s assistant, who constantly excels & can do no wrong.  Ergo, the means & motivation to do so.

Regardless, Cole Howard is dead & Claire Newman has the power. Victor Newman will be taken down a few pegs no matter the path Claire chooses on Young & the Restless.
