What did Wayne say about Jamal? Plenty, reportedly. Kim Menzies‘ British ex, Wayne Hope (90 Day: The Single Life season 5), answered her son Jamal Menzies (90 Day: Hunt for Love season 2) on Instagram after Jamal reportedly suggested Wayne was not genuine. “I don’t think this boy has been taught that,” Wayne wrote, according to a fan news site that posted the exchange on Oct. 31.

As of Nov. 4, 2026, neither Kim nor Jamal has publicly answered Wayne. One fan site is the only outlet carrying the posts so far, and we have not seen Jamal’s Story or Wayne’s post ourselves, so treat every word below as reported. With Jamal back on TLC on Nov. 9, the question is whether Kim steps in or stays out.

What Jamal Reportedly Said in His Q&A

It started with a fan question during an Instagram Q&A: who did Jamal like better, Wayne or Kim’s earlier love, Usman “Sojaboy” Umar (90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days season 5)? According to the fan site, Jamal said he did not know if he liked either one more than the other.

Then came the twist. He reportedly called Wayne “really nice” but suggested he was not genuine, while with Usman, “you knew exactly who he was.” The site also noted that Jamal never accused Wayne of anything specific. It was a ranking, not a rap sheet.

That is quite a turn for a son who once had no kind words for Usman. At the Happily Ever After? Tell All in January 2023, Jamal Menzies said, “I think his intentions with my mom were selfish and narcissistic.” Three years later, he reportedly gives Usman credit for one thing: he never pretended.

What Did Wayne Say About Jamal?

Wayne did not let it slide. According to the fan site, he shared a post on his Instagram featuring Jamal’s Story, with a caption that opened, “My dad always taught me ‘if you have nothing good to say about anyone, don’t say nothing at all.'”

Then he reportedly added the line everyone is quoting: “I don’t think this boy has been taught that,” followed by, “especially when I’ve publicly and privately stuck up for his mother.” Wayne never named Kim. The fan site read it as a subtle jab at her parenting; that is its read, and Wayne has not explained what he meant.

Wayne, Usman and the Mom in the Middle

Viewers met Wayne on The Single Life this spring. The Derbyshire, England, dad, a TikTok regular, filmed six days with Kim in January, and his first episode aired April 13. “Kim was very nice and we got on really, really well,” he told his hometown paper at the time.

It did not last. On Aug. 3, Kim announced on her Instagram Story that she and Wayne had “decided to part ways and remain friends,” adding that “long-distance relationships can be incredibly challenging” and that there was “no drama or ill will,” Us Weekly reported. Wayne did not comment on the split publicly at the time.

Here is what makes this sting. Kim walked away calling it a split with no drama, and the drama arrived anyway, from the ex who says he defended her, aimed at her son. Jamal Menzies picked honesty over nice, and Wayne heard it as an insult.

Kim Menzies Has Not Answered, and Hunt for Love Returns Nov. 9

Kim has stayed quiet so far, and so has Jamal. Kim has not been announced for Hunt for Love, though her son did call her on camera in October, and a castmate has teased a Kim Menzies cameo. TLC’s listing for the Nov. 9 episode, “The Girl Who Saw Red,” does not mention her.

So does Kim side with her son or keep the peace with an ex she promised to stay friends with? My gut tells me she says nothing at all, which would be the very advice Wayne’s dad gave him. Don’t be surprised if Jamal answers first, though. He has never been shy in a Q&A.

Whatever comes next, Jamal Menzies has a full Monday night of his own drama to get through first. We will update this story the moment Kim, Jamal or Wayne says more.

Jamal Said His Piece, and Wayne Made It a Family Matter

A fan asked an honest question and got an honest answer. Jamal did not call Wayne a villain; he just said Usman was easier to read. Wayne answering a Q&A with a lesson about manners, and a reminder that he stuck up for Kim, turned a fan question into a family matter.
