General Hospital: Josslyn Jacks Finds Sonny Corinthos’s Bug in Hudson’s Briefcase and Plots Her Next Move

JOSSLYN JACKS HAS SONNY’S BUG, AND NOW SHE HOLDS THE CARDS

TL;DR: Josslyn swept Hudson’s briefcase and found the bug Ric planted for Sonny. Monday’s preview has her confronting Sonny. The real question is whether she smashes it or makes it work for her.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) found the bug planted for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on Friday, and now she gets to decide what it hears next. On November 6, Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) admitted Sonny had tried to recruit him and swore he turned Sonny down. Josslyn was furious he had kept it from her.

Then the pair worked out that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and his odd locker room run-in with Hudson at Volonino’s had a hidden motive. Josslyn pulled a bug sweeper from her purse and found a listening device in Hudson’s briefcase. “Gotcha.” She realized Sonny had heard every conversation since Ric planted it, and she was determined to get the upper hand with her next move, as our November 6 recap laid out.

What the Bug Already Gave Sonny

Ric planted it on October 15 in the locker room of Sonny’s boxing gym while Hudson showered. Sonny had just called Josslyn “untouchable” and asked for pressure on Hudson “within the law.” Back then we asked whether Ric’s bug could expose Hudson. On November 3, Ric learned about Jude Jacks (Wil Traval) through that very bug.

Two days later Sonny sat down with Jude. He offered to help Jude push Josslyn out of Jasper Jacks Enterprises in exchange for the piers and Jude staying away from Phoebe and Brook Lynn. Jude said he would sell back the piers but refused to give up Phoebe, and Sonny left the offer open with a warning.

Put those dates side by side. The bug picked up Jude’s name, and within 48 hours Sonny was offering Jude a way to push Josslyn out of her father’s company. She has not been shown learning any of it. The bug she just found led Sonny to the one man he tried to turn against her.

Will Josslyn Use the Bug Against Sonny on General Hospital?

Monday’s preview has Josslyn confronting Sonny over his dirty tactics, and one site quotes her line: “I’m not backing down, no matter how dirty you fight!” Other early spoilers say she may realize Ric did it for Sonny. Our bet is that a bug she controls is worth more than a bug she smashes. Josslyn Jacks is a WSB agent who cracked a hotel bidding system to win the piers on October 12. She knows the oldest move in the spy book: leave the device live and feed the other side what you want it to hear. Raging at Sonny is not the same as telling him everything she knows.

Fan chatter cuts both ways. Under a Stone Cold and the Jackal Instagram post, one fan hoped Josslyn will realize she has been wrong about Sonny this whole time.

The Hole in Hudson’s Story

Before Josslyn Jacks springs any trap, she needs to trust the man who carried the briefcase. On October 23, Sonny offered Hudson a consulting fee to stay at JJE and keep an eye on her. One recap of that week said Hudson did not act offended and started negotiating his fee. On Friday he told Josslyn he said no. We already flagged that Hudson is playing both sides.

Then there is Jude. Josslyn and Hudson learned Friday that Jude once worked for JJE and that his file has gaps. Hudson has also been reporting to an unseen partner since August. Early spoilers for the week of November 9 suggest Josslyn could find out Hudson is part of Jude’s plans. That is a rumor, not a scene, but a trap built on a partner with a hidden boss has a hole in the floor.

Why the Smart Play Runs Through Ric

Ric was listening through his earpiece at the Metro Court on Friday and dumped it when Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) arrived for their date. The man holding the earpiece is the easiest one to feed. Don’t be surprised if Josslyn lets Sonny think the bug is dead, then gives Ric fake JJE plans to carry home.

The risk is her other boss. Agent Baines warned her on October 15 to drop her JJE cover when ordered “or you’ll pay the price,” and our look at how Josslyn’s war on Sonny could backfire still stands. Nothing has aired showing what the bug caught about her WSB work. Meanwhile Jude has his own war, with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) teased to clash with him over Phoebe, a story that already pulled Josslyn in.
