The Bold and the Beautiful
Bold and Beautiful Spoilers: Nick Marone’s Worst Fear Realized as Another Logan Woman Nearly Dies on His Watch
Bold and Beautiful spoilers expose writers recycling Nick’s 2005 drowning plot with Brooke. Ridge’s heroic rescue seals Nick’s fate as the eternal scapegoat in Italy boat disaster.

BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL’S NICK MARONE GETS FRAMED AGAIN AS BROOKE DROWNS IN ITALY – RIDGE’S HERO COMPLEX STRIKES!
Another Drowning, Another Scapegoat: The Writers Are Doing Nick DIRTY
I can’t. I just CAN’T with these writers!
You guys, I’m literally shaking with rage as I type this because what they’re about to do to Nick Marone is criminal. CRIMINAL! After bringing Jack Wagner back for this “epic” summer storyline, promising us a sophisticated new Nick who’s here to rescue Brooke Logan from her toxic cycle with Ridge Forrester… they’re really going to throw him under the bus with the SAME drowning plot from 20 years ago?
Let me break this down for you because I’m still processing the sheer laziness of it all.
History Repeats in the WORST Way Possible
Remember 2005? When little Hope Logan nearly drowned in Nick’s spa because he was distracted arguing with Dante? The faulty drain cover, the hair getting caught, the whole traumatic mess that landed Hope in a coma? Yeah, well, apparently the writers’ room has a really twisted sense of déjà vu because they’re about to do it AGAIN.
Only this time? It’s Brooke who’s going to be fighting for her life in the waters off Italy.
Sources are telling me (and these are SOLID sources, people) that during this whole Forrester Creations fashion show in Naples, something goes “wrong” with a boat. And by wrong, I mean Brooke ends up in the water, drowning, while Nick — who literally came back to SAVE her from Ridge’s nonsense — gets all the blame.
Are. You. KIDDING. Me?!
Ridge to the Rescue (Because Of Course He Is)
And here’s where it gets even more predictable. While Nick is being painted as the villain who can’t keep Logan women safe around water (seriously, what are the odds?), guess who swoops in for the dramatic rescue?
Ridge Forrester.
Mr. Knight in Shining Armor himself, probably still wearing Taylor Hayes’ engagement ring while he dives into those Italian waters. Because nothing says “I love my fiancée” like abandoning her the second your ex-wife needs rescuing, right?
I’ve seen the leaked behind-the-scenes photos. Ridge jumping into the water, all heroic and dramatic. Meanwhile, Nick — who was literally just trying to show Brooke there’s life beyond the Forrester drama — is about to become Public Enemy #1. AGAIN.
The Set-Up Is So Obvious It Hurts
Let’s talk about how convenient this all is, shall we? Nick returns after years away, looking better than ever (have you SEEN Jack Wagner lately? The man is aging like fine wine!). He’s no longer the scruffy boat captain — he’s running Marone Industries, wearing designer suits, and offering Brooke a real alternative to her codependent mess with Ridge.
Taylor is even pushing Brooke toward Nick! (Though let’s be real, that’s just Taylor trying to eliminate the competition.) Eric Forrester is Team Brooke all the way. The stage is perfectly set for Brooke to FINALLY break free from this toxic pattern.
But no.
Instead, we get Nick being framed for a near-drowning that conveniently activates Ridge’s hero complex. Because apparently, the only way Ridge knows how to show love is by pulling women out of life-threatening situations.
Talk about a toxic masculinity parade!
Justice for Nick Marone!
Can we PLEASE talk about how unfair this is to Nick’s character? The man was trying to offer Brooke something real. Something healthy. He even said his whole mission was to “wake her up” from the insanity of her relationship with Ridge.
Jack Wagner himself said in interviews that Nick is “unmovable” now, that he sees Ridge as nothing more than a “fly on his shoulder.” This isn’t the same Nick from 2005 who was careless around water. This is a sophisticated businessman who could probably buy and sell Forrester Creations twice over!
But are the writers going to let him be the hero? Of course not! They need him to be the fall guy so Ridge can play Superman and Taylor can get her heart broken for the millionth time.
What This REALLY Means
You know what kills me? This drowning plot isn’t just lazy writing — it’s character assassination. They’re literally using a 20-year-old incident to destroy any chance Nick has with Brooke. Because once Ridge saves her life (again), that whole codependent “Rescuer-Victim” dynamic kicks into overdrive.
Brooke will look at Ridge with those grateful eyes, forgetting all about how he JUST chose Taylor over her. Ridge will have his big epiphany about how he “can’t live without” Brooke. Taylor will be devastated (what else is new?). And Nick? He’ll probably slink back to his shipping empire, painted as the dangerous man who puts Logan women in peril.
It’s. So. PREDICTABLE!
The Missed Opportunity
Here’s what really gets me fired up — this could have been SO different! Imagine if Nick actually succeeded in his mission. If Brooke woke up and realized, “You know what? This IS insane. I deserve better than a man who ping-pongs between me and Taylor every other Tuesday.”
They could have had Nick help Brooke and Hope start their own fashion house! Logan Designs could have been the rival Forrester Creations needs. We could have had business drama instead of the same recycled love triangle!
But no. We get Drowning Drama 2.0 instead.
My Prediction (And I Hate That I’m Probably Right)
Here’s how this is going to go down:
- Brooke and Nick get close in Italy (maybe he even proposes)
- Boat “accident” happens (and I’m using air quotes because at this point, I wouldn’t put it past Ridge to have sabotaged something)
- Brooke nearly drowns while everyone blames Nick
- Ridge dives in for the save, probably ripping off his shirt in slow motion
- Brooke wakes up in Ridge’s arms, forgetting Nick exists
- Ridge dumps Taylor faster than you can say “destiny”
- Nick leaves town with his reputation in tatters
And we’re supposed to find this romantic? Please!
The show is literally telling us that Brooke can’t escape her toxic relationship with Ridge even when a perfectly good alternative is RIGHT THERE. They’re telling us that history will always repeat itself, that Nick will always be the scapegoat, and that Ridge’s hero complex is more powerful than actual healthy love.
I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
One Last Thing…
To the writers: NICK MARONE DESERVES BETTER! The man has been blamed for ONE accidental drowning that wasn’t even really his fault (faulty drain cover, hello?), and now you’re going to make him the villain of another water-related tragedy?
What’s next? Donna drowns in 2045 and Nick’s ghost gets blamed?
This is lazy. This is cruel. And this is exactly why fans are frustrated with the constant recycling of plots.
Nick came back to be the hero of this story, not the villain. But I guess in the world of The Bold and the Beautiful, the only hero allowed is Ridge Forrester — even if he has to manufacture the crisis to save the day.
Justice for Nick Marone. He deserved a fighting chance, not a rigged game where the outcome was decided 20 years ago.
What do you all think? Are you as furious as I am about this recycled drowning plot? Let me know in the comments — I need to know I’m not alone in this outrage!
