R.J. Forrester‘s aggressive pursuit of Electra on Bold and the Beautiful is drawing alarming comparisons to Thomas Forrester‘s infamous obsession with Hope Logan. From demanding Will Spencer‘s termination to defying Ridge‘s direct orders, R.J. is showing every sign of a Forrester man spiraling into dangerous territory.

The Golden Boy Is Gone

There was a time when R.J. Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) was the easygoing kid who wanted nothing to do with family drama. Those days are officially over. The youngest son of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) has undergone a transformation so sharp it’s giving fans whiplash. And not the good kind.

Ever since R.J. laid eyes on Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace), he’s been locked in. Fixated. Territorial. Sound familiar? It should. Because Bold and the Beautiful viewers have watched this exact playbook before, and it didn’t end well for anyone involved.

Have a hot take on R.J.’s behavior? Write to our editor Amber at [email protected] and let her know where you stand!

Thomas 2.0 and Nobody’s Ready

Let’s lay out what R.J. has done in the span of one week. He ordered Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) not to contact Electra. He demanded that Ridge fire Will from Forrester Creations purely to eliminate him as romantic competition. He defied his father’s direct order to keep personal matters out of the workplace. And he formally allied himself with Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer), a woman who stole Electra‘s heartfelt reconciliation letter to Will and is actively sabotaging her own niece’s happiness.

That’s not a crush. That’s a pattern.

Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) spent years trying to pry Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) away from Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). He manipulated. He schemed. He used every tool at his disposal to convince himself and everyone around him that he was the better man for Hope. The parallels between Thomas‘s history and R.J. Forrester‘s current behavior are impossible to ignore. Both men weaponized their family connections. Both refused to accept rejection. Both convinced themselves that eliminating the competition was justified.

Brooke’s Blind Spot Could Cost Everyone

Here’s where it gets truly painful. Brooke went to war over Thomas‘s obsession with Hope. She nearly destroyed her relationship with Ridge fighting to protect her daughter. She called Thomas dangerous. She called him obsessive. She was right every single time.

And now? Brooke is actively encouraging R.J. to pursue Electra. She told him to follow his heart. She has absolutely no idea that her golden boy is running the exact same playbook that she spent years trying to dismantle when Thomas was the one holding it.

Ridge already sees the warning signs. He told R.J. to keep it professional. R.J. responded by doubling down. If history is any guide, Ridge is about to find himself in the devastating position of having to intervene with his second son the same way he once had to intervene with his first.

The Truth Is Coming and R.J. Isn’t Ready

Electra is about to learn that Ivy stole her letter to Will. Once she discovers the depth of Ivy‘s deception, and the fact that R.J. Forrester aligned himself with the woman responsible, every piece of trust she placed in him will shatter. Could this mean we’re watching the origin story of Bold and the Beautiful‘s next villain? Don’t be surprised if R.J. doesn’t take the rejection quietly. Given his family history, a graceful exit isn’t exactly in the DNA.

Will and Electra have been compared to a younger Hope and Liam for good reason. They’ve survived love triangles. They’ve survived interference. But R.J. as the Thomas factor in their story changes everything. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) isn’t going to sit back and watch his son get targeted by workplace intimidation. The Spencer family has never backed down from a Forrester.

Something tells me this is just the beginning.

RJ will never be Thomas. The little freak was an influencer, not a designer. Bell must think we are all stupid.
