DAYS OF OUR LIVES RECAP: EJ DIMERA WANTS THE TRUTH ABOUT DOMINIC MARINO

EJ DiMera Asked Rita the Question Nobody Will Answer

The Days of Our Lives recap October 7, 2026 opens in the DiMera living room, where EJ DiMera had one name on his mind, and it was not the one Rita Lesley came to talk about. She wanted to warn him about Leo. He wanted to know about Dominic Marino.

EJ asked Rita flat out whether Dominic is his brother. She tried to stay vague, so he told her he had overheard Marlena Evans asking her questions. Rita may have gotten Marlena out the door without an answer, he said, but she was not going to do that to him. He wanted the birth certificate.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Rita Reminded EJ What She Knows

Rita insisted she had no answers. EJ told her the whole conversation had been a test of whether she would come to him with news this big, and she had failed. He called it a betrayal.

Rita did not flinch. She reminded him she has been nothing but loyal to the DiMeras and told him to go ask Rolf. Then she reminded him that she knows his darkest secrets, brought up what he did to Kristen and Holly, and made it clear she knows where the bodies are buried. When EJ moved in on her, Jada Hunter walked in.

Jada checked on Rita first. Then she told EJ she was there to take him to the station for questions about the Coriseal disposal, which she said may be tied to Destiny’s death and to Holly Jonas landing in the hospital.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Rachel Black Was Rushed to the Hospital

Brady Black was out buying flowers for Marlena’s birthday with Tate Black when the day turned. After Tate left, Rachel Black came into the living room and said she had thrown up. She was burning up and crying about how badly her stomach hurt.

Brady called an ambulance, and Javi Hernandez arrived thinking it was appendicitis. At the hospital, Sarah Horton agreed and told Brady that Rachel needed surgery, but first a CT scan to see whether her appendix had ruptured. Rachel sobbed that she was scared and wanted her mom. When Tate got to her room and she heard the word surgery, she screamed for her mommy.

Later Sarah told Brady everything would be okay. Brady admitted he has a way to reach Kristen DiMera in an emergency, and he was pretty sure this counted.

Will Brady Black Call Kristen for Rachel?

He said it out loud, and Brady does not say things like that by accident. Rachel is scared, she wants her mother, and Brady has a number he has been sitting on. My gut tells me he uses it, and that call brings Kristen a lot closer to Salem than anybody in the DiMera mansion is ready for. Where it goes next is in our Days of Our Lives spoilers.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Joy Wiggled Her Toes When Nobody Was Looking

Earlier, Sarah helped get Joy Wesley ready to go home. Joy said she does not want to lean on Alex Kiriakis for everything and that they are only living with him because it is best for their daughter. Sarah told her to put in the work and recommended a trainer certified in physical therapy. That trainer was Tate, and Joy gave him a frosty welcome, reminding him of the last time they saw each other. He said that was in the past, tried to book her, then got the text about Rachel and bolted.

Alone, Joy put on her makeup, called Alex to make sure he would pick her up, and wiggled her toes in delight.

Leo Stark Left His Room in Handcuffs

Rita’s warning to EJ was about Leo Stark, who she said made a huge purchase of Gabi Chic knockoffs. Leo had moved his dinner date with Javi to lunch because he had to work that night, and he was reading glowing reviews of his podcast when Shawn Brady knocked.

Shawn said he got a tip that someone in that room was selling counterfeit handbags, told Leo to get a lawyer, opened the boxes and found the fakes. He read Leo his rights and led him out in cuffs.
