Adam Lies to Chelsea About His Morning With Sally and Ruby
Adam Newman lied to Chelsea Lawson on Tuesday, October 27. When she finally found him, he told her he’d had a meeting that morning and that he was fine. He didn’t mention Sally Spectra and baby Ruby, or the tears they’d just shed over the daughter they lost. Will Chelsea catch him, and does Adam push her for a baby next? Our Young and the Restless spoilers for the next two weeks put him right back at Sally’s door Thursday.
The lie landed on a woman who had already gone looking. Earlier that day, Chelsea told Nick Newman that Adam wasn’t at home or at the office, and he hadn’t even texted. She insisted she wasn’t worried. When Nick suggested his brother might be feeling regret, she snapped that everything was fine and that Adam’s feelings had been dealt with.
So what did the meeting cover? At the park cafe, Adam was protective of Ruby, and Sally told him he can see the baby anytime. “I can handle it,” he said, then admitted it hit him harder than he thought, and they both cried over Ava, the daughter Adam has been reliving since he delivered Ruby. When he judged Billy Abbott for leaving her alone with a newborn to fly to London, Sally shut him down.

Sally Isn’t Hiding the Visits, and Nick Talks to Adam Friday
Adam’s cover story has a hole, and it’s Sally. Back home, she told Ruby that Adam has a good heart. When Billy called from London to apologize for leaving her alone, Sally told him she’s far from alone and has had plenty of visitors. She named nobody, but she isn’t treating Adam like a secret, and she has made room for Adam in Ruby’s life.
The calendar makes it worse. CBS says “Adam pays Sally a surprise visit” on Thursday, October 29, so Adam Newman’s one cover story could turn into two. On Friday, October 30, “Nick voices his concerns to Adam,” and Nick is the brother Chelsea just told that everything is fine. CBS hasn’t said what worries him, or whether Nick tells Chelsea.
Does Chelsea Find Out Adam Lied on Young and the Restless?
Not yet, and nothing CBS has released says she does. On Tuesday, Chelsea took Adam at his word and went inside for coffee. Every road to the truth runs through this week: Sally, who talks openly about her visitors, Nick, who takes his concerns to Adam Friday, and Billy, who has to stay in London at least 48 hours before heading home. Billy and Chelsea already share a son, Johnny Abbott, raised by Billy and Victoria Newman, so a three-way blowup over Sally would hit close to home.
Her record says the lie matters more than the visit. In February 2014, she learned Adam had confessed to killing Billy’s daughter Delia in a hit-and-run, and she stayed. In July 2015, she walked out when she found out “Gabriel” was Adam, and that October, after he put cameras in her home, she told him he’d lied to her for the last time. Adam and Chelsea have split seven times since 2012, and Sally has never been the reason.
Adam Already Asked Chelsea for a Baby, and She Said No
As for whether Adam Newman pushes Chelsea for a baby, he has already tried once. In June, while they were gushing about their son, Connor Newman, Adam asked if she had ever thought about having another child. Chelsea asked if it was because Sally was having one with Billy, Adam denied it, and she told him she doesn’t want to go through another pregnancy. He backed off, apologized and admitted Sally’s pregnancy had opened old wounds about Ava.
Nothing CBS has released brings the subject back this week. Still, Adam delivered a baby girl a week ago, and our readers have noticed. When we asked how long Chelsea’s patience can last, most said she’ll get jealous sooner or later, and one reader even hopes Chelsea “changes her mind and gets pregnant and gives Adam a little girl.”
Our Readers Want Adam to Back Off Before Chelsea Finds Out
When we asked Tuesday whether Chelsea is right to worry, most readers told Adam to back off. “Adam needs to focus on Chelsea,” one wrote. On Bluesky, one fan went further, calling for Adam and Chelsea to split because “they have ran their course.”
My gut tells me Nick is the leak. He watched Chelsea hold her phone while swearing she wasn’t worried, and if I know these writers, Friday’s talk with Adam is where the truth starts coming out. Whoever Chelsea hears it from, I doubt it will be Adam.
