Abby & That Dress Woman Screwed Over by Cane, Hell to Pay
Billy Boy Abbott’s company, only on paper, Abbott Communications, has been about to launch for months. Now that it’s finally time, the new Cane Ashby has put down his whac-a-mole & it still WILL NOT be happening.
Did Cane Ashby seriously use Abby Winters’ restaurant for failure after she just lost her son’s legal dad, Chance Chancellor, on Cane’s property in the South of France? Also, supposedly, Abby & Sally Spectra are friends. Sally designed her latest wedding gown.
What’s the point of all of this? Let’s unpack…
Cane Bought the GCAC, but not Society in Genoa City
Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has not bought into Society in Genoa City & the Genoa City society has not bought into him. There is not one person who wants Cane in Genoa City except for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), & that’s because she’s desperate for employment yet again.
Having the Abbott Communications launch party at Society makes sense. Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) niece, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) owns Society. Billy owns Abbott Communications via Abby’s other Uncle, Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) money. While Cane Ashby has been buying up real estate in Genoa City, Society has not been on his radar, except for his associate Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) efforts to get to know the GC residents Cane Ashby ordered him to get to know.
Cane Worked Over Abby &/or Tessa, but For What?
Abby owns Society & Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is the General Manager. Cane has to get to at least one of these ladies, but for what? Abby has both Abbott & Winters family money. Tessa has a good job & is loyal to Abby. Cane invited Abby’s ex-husband & the legal father to her baby, Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd), for no good reason. While nobody likes Cane Ashby, it’s not worth it for anyone to kill him. Chance Chancellor was killed for nothing in the South of France. Unfortunately, Young & the Restless fans were not able to see Abby mourn, but fans were told. There is no way Abby would help Cane ruin her Uncle Billy’s launch party under the current circumstances.
That Dress Woman Set Up to Fail Before She Moves In
That Dress Woman, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), has just agreed to move in with Billy Abbott, but fortunately, she has not moved in a single bag quite yet.
Sally has seen this movie before. She’s been Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) right-hand at Newman Media, only to be let down personally & professionally. She’s moved in with Adam after rebooting their relationship, only to be let down again by the same man.
This time, Sally has proceeded with caution & good for her. She should be running away from anything to do with Cane Ashby, including his fake-brother, Billy Abbott.
