Kyle Abbott’s Plus One for Abbott New Year’s Day Brunch
Young & the Restless fans were led to believe that Kyle Abbott would finally take parenting seriously in 2025. He stayed home with Harrison on NYE as he had a cold. They played video games & watched movies. How cute… BUT… once his new girlfriend Claire Newman made her after-midnight appearance at the Abbott Estate, Y&R fans learned that Kyle did try to find a babysitter for his sick son. Now it looks like Kyle will either have a plus-one at the Abbott family brunch on New Year’s Day or Mrs. Martinez will serve sick little Harrison breakfast in bed.
Kyle Abbott’s New Year’s Resolution: Confusing Harrison
It shouldn’t be surprising that if Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) could have found a babysitter for his sick son on NYE he would have gone out with his new girlfriend Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), but it is. That self-entitled dumb-ass man-child finally gave Young & the Restless fans hope that he was not a complete tool. Well, that hope has been eliminated & in the same selfish swat of an evening, he has invited Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) last nanny over for a last-minute sleepover.
Again, Harrison is sick. He just has a cold, but he may need something during the middle of the night from his father. What happens when Harrison knocks on Kyle’s door for snuggles &/or more cold medicine & Claire is there in his daddy’s bed? Will she hide underneath Kyle’s bed? Or, will she get Harrison whatever she needs so Kyle can provide Harrison with some ridiculous explanation of what his little boy walked in on?
Too Sick for Brunch, Just Fine for Video Games & Movies
Why wouldn’t the Abbotts enjoy a nice holiday brunch on New Year’s Day after enjoying a fabulous time at the Neil Winters Jazz Lounge inside the GCAC for NYE? Jack Abbott & Diane Jenkins (Peter Bergman & Susan Walters) & Aunt Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) have to be wondering how Harrison is doing & would enjoy catching up at the Abbott table over a meal. While that would be cute & all, for Kyle Abbott’s convenience Harrison might be too sick to make it downstairs & Mrs. Martinez might conveniently be able to bring Harrison’s favorite foods & drinks for when he is sick to his bedroom. If so, Kyle’s overnight guest will for sure have a spot at the Abbott table.
Claire Newman Does Her First Walk of Shame
Claire Newman is scared in a good way of what is happening between her & Kyle. They are connecting quickly romantically & every advancement with Kyle is her first. Young & the Restless fans are guessing she hasn’t been taught about birth control, let alone the walk of shame. The only thing Claire packed to visit was NYE bells, whistles, & kisses. She did not bring an overnight bag with birth control, jammies, &/or a fresh change of clothes for the following day. Ergo, Miss Claire’s first walk of shame…
Since trying to kill the Newman family & being taken out of treatment by Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) as per Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) request, it hasn’t been possible for Claire Grace now Newman to do anything wrong in anyone’s eyes in Genoa City, except maybe Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
Young the Restless fans can hope that Harrison’s mother Summer swings by to check on him when the Abbotts & Kyle’s plus one enjoy brunch with Harrison upstairs snuggled up alone with only the goodness of Mrs. Martinez.
