The Young and the Restless
EASTER EGGS EVERYWHERE! Is Y&R Hiding Its Next Couples In Plain Sight While Adam Newman Can’t Stop Staring At Baby Ruby?
Y&R’s Adam Newman spent time alone with Sally and Baby Ruby while exes leaned on each other, and fans wonder if the show is easter egging.
ADAM NEWMAN KEEPS ENDING UP IN SALLY’S ORBIT
TL;DR: Y&R’s exes spent the hour leaning on each other, and Adam Newman cradling attention on Baby Ruby might be the loudest hint yet that Genoa City’s next two weeks are about to rearrange the couples.

Three Old Flames, One Suspicious Episode
Genoa City’s exes did a suspicious amount of leaning this episode, and writers do not stack three reunions into one hour by accident. Adam Newman took Sally Spectra and baby Ruby all to himself at the café, Chelsea Lawson dodged the hard questions over tea with Nick Newman, and Billy Abbott knocked on Victoria Newman’s London door like a man who still knows the address by heart.
That is three pairs of former partners in three cozy rooms, each confiding in the person they used to love. It reads less like catching up and more like the show dropping crumbs, and the spoilers keep the trail going: Thursday brings a surprise visit from Adam to Sally, and Victoria starts second-guessing her romance with Kyle Abbott.

Ruby Is Doing Heavy Lifting For A Newborn
The sensible read is that the café scene was gratitude and grief and nothing more. The sensible read is also dull. Adam Newman delivered Ruby on Sally’s wedding day after she refused to let him leave the room to find Billy, and she credits him with helping her stay strong. Now he can’t stop staring at the little girl, admits he felt things that hit harder than he expected, and says that if it were him, he never would have left for London. That is a man describing what he’d do in someone else’s shoes, and soaps do not hand out lines like that for free.
Ava is the weight under every word. Adam and Sally lost their daughter, and Sally says Ruby’s birth stirred the same feelings and may be a second chance at raising a little girl. That grief deserves respect, and it also happens to be the one thing that ties these two together for good. Even Audra Charles joked about Sally choosing godparents, and the show let that line sit there.

Billy And Victoria Keep Getting Locked In The Same Room
Fans have called Billy and Victoria endgame for years, and the writers keep handing them the key. Billy walked into her London apartment, took one look at the candles and champagne, and remarked that the place looks the same as when they were married, while Kyle crouched on the balcony with his pants barely on. Victoria’s flirty, sexy fling has the shelf life of a candle in a draft, and the spoilers have her second-guessing it already.
Billy has a new wife, a newborn and a mother he fears losing, which makes him the most emotionally available man on two continents. If the show is planting an Easter egg, a husband standing in the home he once shared with his ex-wife, who has a secret man on her balcony, is the big shiny one.

Chelsea Is Shaping Up As The Ashley Of This Story
Nick and Sharon Newman have been hailed forever as the next Victor Newman and Nikki Newman, which makes Chelsea the Ashley Abbott of the scenario: the fan favorite who earned a daughter with Victor while Nikki stayed the wife. Chelsea got the tea and the comfort from Nick, who admits he doesn’t feel he deserves all the grace everyone is showing him.
Sharon is asking what really happened to Matt Clark, and Nick’s answer is that it’s best if she doesn’t know. Thursday has her forcing him to come clean, and Friday has him voicing his concerns to Adam Newman.

Who Gets Paired Off First?
If Genoa City is mapping its next moves in plain sight, Billy drifts back to Victoria, Adam Newman keeps drifting toward the family he helped bring into the world, Nick holds on to Sharon, and Chelsea gets the consolation tea. Or it’s all a decoy. Which crumb are you following?
