KATIE READS BROOKE’S TEXTS ON BILL’S PHONE AND SCREAMS, “BECAUSE OF HER! BECAUSE OF BROOKE!!”

Katie Logan Spencer Reads Brooke’s Texts Out Loud

“This is why you want me to go easy on Forrester. Because of her! Because of Brooke!!” That was Katie Logan Spencer on the Bold and the Beautiful recap October 29, holding her husband’s phone and reading his texts from her sister out loud.

It started as a party. Katie rushed to hug Bill Spencer because the Zende announcement went viral, and she wanted to bust out the bubbly. Bill asked if she had heard from her sisters. “No.” Then: “I don’t need them.”

She will not be held back, she said, and she is making a name for herself outside her sister’s shadow. “Maybe she should get used to standing in mine.”

Bill told her they need to rise above the personal fray. Katie shot back that he has played the press like a fiddle for decades. He warned that she is living in anger and vengeance, and it will take a piece of her soul.

Then his phone dinged. It was Brooke. Katie held the phone up to his face to unlock it and read the texts aloud. “It’s not what you think,” Bill protested.

Katie did not need a translator. “So, this… this is why you’re suddenly so concerned about my relationship with my sisters.”

Brooke Texts Bill, and Bill Sends a Stallion

Here is what Katie walked into. Earlier, at Forrester, Brooke Logan texted Bill that the press around Zende keeps getting worse. He texted back from Logan’s showroom, promising to talk to Katie again about dialing it back. Brooke thanked him for meeting with her and supporting her: “So grateful I can always count on you.” Bill answered with a stallion emoji.

A man asking his wife to rise above the fray while sending her sister a stallion is going to have some explaining to do. We already put that stallion emoji under the microscope.

Brooke Tells Ridge She May Have Found a Way to Stop Katie

Ridge Forrester walked into the Forrester office ranting that the whole Zende thing is a nightmare. He blamed Bill. Brooke said it is all Katie, then told him she may have found a way to convince her sister to stop the attacks. Ridge asked how. Brooke dodged.

Katie feels lost to her now. “I miss my sister a lot,” Brooke admitted, and Ridge could see how much it hurts. Later he said he hates what Katie is doing to the company and to Brooke. Brooke vowed to get through to her sister: “And I may have found a way.” When Ridge stepped out to take a call, Brooke picked up her phone.

Brooke’s texts. Katie read them aloud and decided Bill’s sudden push to go easy on Forrester, and his sudden interest in her relationship with her sisters, came from Brooke. Bill says it is not what she thinks.

Melissa Dylan Walks Out, and Will Says “I Love You So Damn Much”

Before the phone, Melissa Dylan had one more round with Katie Logan Spencer. She will not apologize for loving Will or for having dreams. Katie snarked about her “following her heart.” Dylan vowed she will never hurt Katie’s son. “Somebody always gets hurt,” Katie said, and Dylan walked out.

At the beach house, Darcy Dylan came by with clothes for her daughter and asked if Dylan got the job. Will Spencer did not know. He had left her to deal with his mother alone.

Dylan walked in with the verdict: “Not good.” She told them she stood up for herself and assured them she will be fine. Darcy beamed: “You’re extraordinary.”

Alone, Will said he hates how unfair his mom is being and is so sorry. Dylan reminded him she was the one who said she did not want a job. “I love you so damn much,” Will told her, and they kissed.

Bill Picked the Wrong Week to Keep a Secret

Bill may be telling the truth. Brooke asked him for help, he tried, and a stallion emoji is Bill being Bill.

But Katie Logan Spencer spent a week hearing her husband beg for mercy for the house she is trying to beat, and Thursday she learned who wrote the script. That is not a misunderstanding a hug fixes. Katie already says she does not need her sisters. My bet: she is now wondering if she needs a husband who checks in with one of them.
