The Young and the Restless
Young and the Restless Recap October 30, 2026: Sharon Newman and Phyllis Summers Demand to Know Where Matt Clark Went
This Young and the Restless Recap catches Sharon and Phyllis hunting Matt, Billy dropping in on Victoria, and Nate and Stephanie going public.
SHARON SMELLS TROUBLE IN THIS YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS RECAP
TL;DR: This Young and the Restless Recap finds Sharon Newman and Phyllis Summers convinced that Nick Newman knows far more than Nick lets on about Matt Clark. Billy Abbott pays Victoria Newman a surprise visit in London while Kyle Abbott hides, Nate Hastings and Stephanie Simmons take their romance public at Society, and Adam Newman keeps worrying about baby Ruby.

Two Women, One Booth, Zero Answers
Phyllis Summers had no intention of leaving Crimson Lights without a straight answer about Matt Clark, which was unlucky, because straight answers were in short supply. Nick Newman and Sharon Newman each handed her a different version of events, like two people who had swapped scripts in the parking lot. Nick, who clearly prefers exits to explanations, stormed off and left his silence behind to do the talking.
With Nick gone, Sharon leaned in and said the quiet part out loud: he refused to share Matt’s location with her either, and in her experience a man with nothing to hide does not walk out mid-sentence. Her pitch was a team-up, the two of them prying answers loose from him together. Phyllis countered by suggesting they both let the whole thing go. Sharon wasn’t buying it, and Phyllis took that as an attempt to rattle her, so for a moment the booth had the temperature of a cold war with a pastry case.
Phyllis insisted the story was over. Matt walked away, so she walked too. Except that wasn’t the full account, because she admitted she had begged for a call after the crash, a call that never came. She also knew he had returned to town, and Sharon filled her in on the part that kept her up at night: Matt never turned up at the facility Sharon had lined up for him, and she feared Nick had decided to handle things personally.
They settled into the corner booth, where Sharon floated the idea that Matt was tucked away somewhere. She reminded Phyllis how furious Nick had been when Matt asked for her as his therapist, and she confessed she had pressed Nick about Matt skipping the clinic altogether. The stress, she worried, had warped his judgment. Phyllis, who has never met an awkward question she was too polite to ask, asked it: did Sharon think Nick had killed Matt? Sharon refused to go there. She admitted she had no idea what was happening, which is somehow scarier than a theory.
Phyllis doubted that leaning on Nick would work, and then the tough exterior cracked. She was scared of being dragged back in. Matt’s leaving had hurt, and she feared the version of him Sharon and Nick kept warning everyone about was the one who had come back, which was exactly why she had to move on. Sharon said she was sorry for the pain. Phyllis answered with the classic “I’m fine”: Daniel Romalotti was beside her, while Summer Newman might forgive her eventually. Two lifelines, one of them labeled “eventually,” but sure, fine.
Sharon, a woman with more reason than anyone to be glad Matt was gone, still asked Phyllis not to shrink what she had shared with him. Phyllis said self-improvement had been her only aim, and she hoped Matt was safe. The scene wrapped on the one thing both women agreed on: Nick owed them an account of his actions.

Billy Knocks and Kyle Hides
London was supposed to be where Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott could finally exhale, and the morning began accordingly with coffee, scones, and Kyle asking how Victoria was holding up after her bad dream about Billy Abbottcatching them. She was tempted by Paris, though she worried it was asking for trouble. Then came the knock, and it was Billy.
Kyle vanished from view. Victoria opened the door and reminded Billy that he had promised to phone first, a promise Billy treats as more of a suggestion. His excuse: the news was too wonderful to wait, so he drifted over on autopilot. Jill Abbott’s surgery had saved her life, the recovery would be long, and she had seemed glad to see him, which left Billy comfortable heading home to Sally Spectra and baby Ruby. He was sure there was still time to mend fences with Jill.
Billy thanked Victoria for lending an ear and asked when she planned to leave London. She had no idea. Heading for the door, he mentioned that Kyle had also landed in London and asked whether she knew. Victoria put on her most astonished face, and Billy wondered aloud whether Kyle had crossed an ocean on her account, then wandered into the subject of Vibrante. She swore she was not in London over anything involving Vibrante, which was a lovely answer to a question he had not quite asked. Relieved, Billy left.
Once Kyle came out of hiding, the two of them reviewed the close call. They agreed Billy might be connecting dots, and that a getaway meant to be carefree was turning into a stress test. Kyle held her and asked the question neither wanted to hear out loud: was it time to end things?

Nate and Stephanie Go Public
Society hosted a celebration for Nate Hastings and his career change, and Nate, a man who cannot accept a compliment without arguing it, called the whole thing premature. Stephanie Simmons, Abby Newman, Devon Winters, and Lily Winters toasted him anyway. Talk drifted to the shiny new equipment the hospital had acquired since Nate left, and Stephanie reported that the entire staff could not wait for his return. Nate credited her for every bit of it. He would have to ease into the operating room and get recertified first.
Then came the hand kiss. Nate raised Stephanie’s hand to his lips, and every other face at the table did the same thing at once, which is how you know a room has opinions it is far too polite to voice. The group praised his skill and his bedside manner until Abby cheerfully recalled that Stephanie had been friends with Nate’s mother for years. The table promptly found a brand-new topic. Nate and Stephanie left when the meal ended, and Abby wanted to know why nobody had told her those two were together. She was delighted for them. The others weighed whether it was a conflict of interest for Nate to be romancing his new employer, and the ethics panel adjourned before the toast went flat.
Talk turned to Jill’s improving condition, and Devon noticed his sister seemed miles away. Lily admitted she missed Cane Ashby, and Devon, to her visible surprise, said he understood. Life was too short for grudges, and if Lily and Cane were in love, he would stop standing in the way. She hugged him. Moments later, Cane phoned with news that Jill’s surgery had gone well, the recovery would be long, and he was coming home. Lily thought that was wonderful, and he was eager to see her. Devon’s timing was excellent. Cane’s, as always, was better.

Adam Keeps Thinking About Ruby
Over at the GCAC, Adam Newman greeted Nick with a question about Matt: was he tucked away in some institution, and did he plan to stay there a very long time? Adam clearly hoped so. Then came the real worry. He felt tied to baby Ruby and driven to protect her, and Nick’s reassurance that she was in good hands did not land, mostly because Billy had flown off to London.
Nick reminded him that Billy’s mother had been fighting for her life, which is a fairly good reason to board a plane. Adam still fretted that Sally seemed a little lost, and he confessed he had given her a lesson in getting Ruby’s gas out. Nick asked if that had made things strange. Adam said no. Nick urged his brother to stop looking for trouble. He was proud of how Adam had stepped up, but it was time to let it go.

Nobody Is Telling the Whole Truth
Nick’s silence about Matt managed to unite two women who agree on almost nothing, and if he thinks they will drop it, he clearly missed the memo. An ocean away, Victoria and Kyle learned that one unannounced knock can turn a getaway into a negotiation, and Billy flew toward home with good news and none the wiser.
Back in Genoa City, Nate and Stephanie discovered that a public romance comes with an audience, while Adam found out that delivering a baby does not end the story when the baby arrives.
