Audra Charles has a Los Angeles secret, and Claire Newman says she knows it. In the October 28 episode, which aired a day early in Canada, Claire tells her, “I know your secret,” meaning what happened between Audra and Holden Novak in Los Angeles. There’s a price for her silence, and it’s simple: Audra leaves her alone, or Claire exposes the truth. Keep our Young and the Restless spoilers for the next two weeks handy while Audra decides.

So what is the secret, and does Audra strike back? Nobody says what Claire knows, and she walks out of Society before Audra can answer. CBS billed the scene as Claire setting boundaries, and the boundary we asked about on Sunday turned out to be a threat.

It starts with Claire mocking Audra for “extorting” her mother, Victoria Newman, over the Vibrante patents, and Audra calls it “business” before needling her about Holden. Claire says he’s out of town visiting his father. When Claire drops the secret, Audra denies there is one, says “Crazy Claire” is back and suggests Claire could end up in the hospital again.

What Holden Told Claire, and What He Left Out

Claire has been chasing this for a year. On November 5, 2025, Holden told her how he met Audra at the Shadow Room in Los Angeles, where he tended bar and she walked off with a man’s wallet. A $500,000 cashier’s check went missing, Audra later sent Holden $100,000, and he kept it. If Audra goes down, he told Claire, he goes down too.

What he left out, viewers saw in a December 12, 2025 flashback. The man came back for his money, Holden hit him in Audra’s defense, and the man struck his head on the bar and died. In January 2026, Holden and Audra made a pact: she would leave Claire alone, and he would keep quiet.

Claire kept digging anyway, and in February she asked Sienna about an art dealer who accused Audra of stealing and then vanished. By March she had called a truce with Audra, while Audra quietly panicked that Claire knew the rest.

What Is Audra’s Secret on Young and the Restless?

Audra’s secret is what happened in Los Angeles: the money that went missing and the man who died the night Holden defended her. The show hasn’t said which part Claire knows, so here’s my ranking. First, the death, the one piece Holden never told her. Second, proof of the money she already heard about. Third, a bluff, since nothing has aired showing Claire learn anything new since March.

Here’s the tell. Claire’s price, that Audra leave her alone, is the same deal Audra cut with Holden in January. Claire has taken Holden’s seat at that table without him, and the secret in her pocket is his as much as it is Audra Charles’s.

How Audra Could Strike Back at Claire

Nothing CBS has released for Thursday or Friday puts these two back in a room, but if I know these writers, Audra Charles has three moves. First, Holden: expose me, she can tell Claire, and you expose him too, which is exactly what Holden warned in 2025.

Second, Claire’s past, which Audra already reached for. Claire spent the winter of 2023 into 2024 in psychiatric care at Memorial, and the “Crazy Claire” jab is Audra’s way of saying nobody will believe her.

Third, the bomb Audra doesn’t know she’s holding: Claire’s mother is secretly seeing Kyle Abbott, Claire’s ex. At Billy and Sally’s reception on October 19, Audra came up behind Kyle and Victoria, asked where the Vibrante sparks were, and read it as business. If she ever puts it together, Claire’s leverage starts to look small.

Claire Is Playing Her Grandfather’s Game

This is a very Newman move. In April 2025, Victor Newman made a deal with Audra to come between Kyle and Claire. Now his granddaughter is holding a secret over Audra’s head instead of spending it, which is exactly how Victor likes his leverage. Does Kyle hear about it? Nothing says so, and he has his hands full in London, where Billy finds him at a pub on Wednesday.

And Holden? He hasn’t been seen since August, and the talk about Nathan Owens leaving is still talk. Nothing official says he’s coming back, let alone that the secret brings him. But Audra Charles knows something Claire may not have thought through: whenever Holden turns up, he walks right into the middle of this.

Claire Took Holden’s Deal, and Holden Still Carries the Risk

Claire didn’t ask for money, and she didn’t ask Audra to leave town. She asked for the same thing Audra promised Holden in January, which tells me she knows exactly whose secret she’s sitting on. My prediction: Audra answers with Holden’s name, and Claire has to decide how much she’s willing to burn.
