KYLE LIES BADLY IN THIS YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS RECAP
TL;DR: This Young and the Restless Recap catches Kyle Abbott fumbling his London cover story in front of his uncle, Victoria Newman dreaming up the worst way to get caught, and Sharon Newman demanding the truth about Matt Clark until Phyllis Summers interrupts. Adam Newman also proves he can burp a baby and then admits to Sally Spectra how heavy the birth felt.

Kyle Faces Twenty Questions in London
Somebody should tell Kyle Abbott that a London pub is not a witness protection program, especially when family wanders in. Billy Abbott found him at a table with Cane Ashby and demanded an explanation for his nephewโs presence an ocean away from home. Kyle claimed he flew commercial because a friend needed a visit, a cover story with the structural integrity of a wet napkin.
Billy refused to drop it, which is the one family trait he and Kyle share. Every answer got pressed for a follow-up, Kyle bristled harder with each round, and the bristling alone started to read like a signed confession. Billy reminded him that the Jabot board still had his name on it, which made any meeting involving his nephew his business whether Kyle liked it or not.
Cane had the look of a man who came for a drink and got a deposition. He tried to escape, but Billy brokered a truce long enough to clink glasses in honor of Jill Abbott. It lasted about as long as an Abbott truce usually does. They swapped baby photos of Ruby, and Billy mentioned that Victoria Newman had also crossed an ocean for work and had seemed oddly frosty. He said it casually, the way people comment on the smoke before they notice the fire.
Kyle suddenly remembered somewhere urgent to be and vanished. Billy and Cane lingered to drink and dissect it, and Billy floated the theory that Kyle might be undermining Vibrante. It was the wrong scandal entirely, but give the man credit for smelling smoke.
Is Billy about to connect Kyle and Victoria all on his own, or will Cane get there first? Email your theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com. The wilder the guess, the better.

Victoria Dreams Up a Disaster
Victoria tried to bed down on the sofa at her place in London and discovered her brain had exactly one channel, all Kyle, all the time. She paced. When he walked in, she informed him the bed had felt far too empty, and things escalated on that couch until Billy let himself in at the least convenient moment in the history of timing.
The dream version of Billy was merciless. He spotted the candles, asked how often this had happened, and wondered what her family would say, adding that Victor Newman would collapse on the spot. Victoria insisted it was strictly physical and unplanned, a claim the candle budget did not support. Kyle blamed her, Billy lectured Victoria, his ex, on fateโs nasty sense of humor, and Victoria labeled it all a mistake.
She woke up in a cold sweat, and the real Kyle came back and poured himself a drink, visibly rattled. He confessed that he had crossed paths with Cane and Billy and that Billy appeared to have caught the scent of a secret. Kyle proposed they stop tempting fate until Paris, and Victoria agreed it sounded sensible. Then she described the nightmare and shocked them both by refusing to hit the brakes. She had no appetite for caution and no plans to end the fun. The universe delivered a formal warning, and she tossed it in a drawer. Kyle answered with โParis it is,โ and the kissing resumed before anybody could say the word โconsequences.โ

Sharon Wants the Truth About Matt
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman had been calling around, and no clinic or hospital had any record of Matt Clark. She asked Nick Newman to be honest about where Matt had gone. Nick told her she was better off not knowing, because Matt had exited the picture permanently.
The real clash was over whether Matt should receive treatment at all. Nick had believed the matter was settled, while Sharon saw treatment as the surest way to close this chapter for good. Nick recounted the harm Matt had done to her and her loved ones, and Sharon answered that facing him no longer traumatized her. Nick said he had persuaded Matt as well, then placed him in a facility in another state, along with a promise of no contact. Sharon asked whether he had shipped Matt off to the sort of place his father favored. Nick swore that was the complete story.
The argument shifted to who got to decide. Sharon was done being managed by the men around her, and Nick said neither he nor Matt wanted her to endure more. She told him that was not their call. She wanted a say in Mattโs care and accused Nick of doubting that she could set her own limits. Nick admitted he knew she wanted a hand in it, and that Matt had sobbed at her house. He insisted it was over, yet her refusal to let it be over scared him. Sharon pointed out that every explanation had been vague and none sounded like real help. Nick vowed she would never hear more, and that was the moment Phyllis Summers walked in demanding to know why Matt was the topic. She had the radar of a woman who could smell a secret from three zip codes away.

Adam Gets Honest
Sally Spectra was giving baby Ruby a pep talk about the boisterous clan that awaited her when Adam Newman arrived carrying a bootie someone forgot at the cafรฉ. It was the most adorable excuse for a house call in Genoa City. Ruby was gassy, and Adam, who had apparently added โburp specialistโ to a rรฉsumรฉ already featuring โemergency delivery,โ asked to try. Sally hesitated, so he reminded her who had delivered the baby. After a thorough scrub, he burped Ruby and sent her off to sleep like a pro.
Sally was impressed, and she floated the idea of another child someday for him and Chelsea Lawson. Adam admitted that was unlikely. He asked after her relatives and the Abbotts, who apparently adored Ruby to a fault.
He headed for the door, and Sally stopped him to ask why things between them felt so strange, with so many loaded silences. Adam wished he could explain. The past haunted him, and the birth had dredged up grief over their daughter and over losing Sally herself. Sally said they had both moved on, that Ruby was her own person and a fresh start, and that she wanted him in the joy with them. Adam said any role in Rubyโs life that she and Billy chose to give him would be an honor, and he left. He had come to return a tiny shoe and ended up excavating his feelings.
