TETONA JACKSON TAKES OVER ROXANNE BARRINGTON ON Y&R

Young and the Restless Comings & Goings

Genoa City is welcoming back a familiar name with a brand-new face, because Tetona Jackson is taking over the role of Roxanne Barrington on Y&R. Roxanne is the on-again, off-again ex of Devon Winters, played by Bryton James, and she left town in 2013. Jackson debuts in November, though no air date, storyline, or length of stay has been shared. That leaves Devon plenty of time to wonder whether this is a visit or a reckoning. Roxanne never needed much excuse for a dramatic entrance.

Is Roxanne back for Devon, for closure, or for something messier? Email your theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com, because we want every wild one.

Roxanne And Devon Never Did Quiet

Tatyana Ali introduced Roxanne in 2007, and she and Devon spent years breaking up, reconciling, and breaking up again. In August 2009, Roxanne walked in on Devon with Tyra, ended things the next day, and was back in his arms within weeks. Ali also won three straight NAACP Image Awards for the role, so Tetona Jackson has a crowded trophy shelf to live up to. Ali, meanwhile, is busy on the Dancing with the Stars floor, which is a very different kind of drama.

Check The Peephole, Devon

Thirteen years is a long time to nurse unfinished business, and Genoa City has never met a grudge it could not feed. However Roxanne makes her entrance, Tetona Jackson is stepping into a part fans remember well, and Devon may want to look through the peephole before opening that door.
