90 Day Fiance: Sarper Guven Reportedly Says US Fans Back Him More Than Turks as He Rethinks His Move Home
Is Sarper Guven moving back to Turkey? The 90 Day Fiance star reportedly says probably not, and every show he has booked is in the U.S.
Is Sarper Guven (90 Day: The Last Resort season 3) moving back to Turkey? Maybe not anymore. In an Instagram Story, the Turkish comedian reportedly said his fellow Turks are the least supportive people at his stand-up shows and his biggest critics, and that he probably should not go back because fans in the U.S. support him ten times more. A fan news site reported the Story on Oct. 28.
That is a sharp turn from September, when he told a follower he planned to move home to Turkey for good in two years. As of Nov. 7, 2026, Sarper has announced no move in either direction, and the divorce his estranged wife, Shekinah Garner (90 Day: The Last Resort season 3), filed in September is not final. Here is what is keeping him in America for now.
What Sarper Reportedly Said About Turkish Fans
According to the fan site, the Story took aim at his home crowd. Sarper reportedly wrote that Turks give him the least support of anyone at his comedy shows, and that Americans love and back him far more. His conclusion, per the site: he probably should not go back.
He also reportedly vented that TLC’s channel in Turkey has aired every other Turkish cast member from the American and British versions of the franchise, but never him, even after four seasons. We could not view the Story ourselves, and he has not repeated the comments anywhere else we could find, so treat the wording as reported.
The Two-Year Plan He Made in September
The about-face is what makes this so juicy. On Sept. 22, the day after he faced the Tell All without his wife and the same day he declared himself single, a follower asked whether he would stay in America or return to Turkey. Sarper Guven reportedly answered that in two years, he would go back permanently.
Fans figured the plan was simple: cash in on the fame and the road shows, then fly home. Six weeks later, he sounds far less sure. Reading between the lines, the hometown heckling stung more than any bad review from American fans ever could.
Is Sarper Guven Staying in the US?
For now, every sign points to yes. Ticket listings show that every one of his upcoming stand-up dates is in the U.S., about 20 shows, with not a single one booked in Turkey. His next listed set is Nov. 12 at the Ontario Improv in Southern California, followed by St. Louis, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Boston, a swing through Florida in mid-December, and dates that run into March 2027.
That does not make it permanent. By the fan site’s account, he said he probably should not go back, which is not the same as never, and he has not said where he plans to settle. But a comic booked across America through the spring is not packing his bags this year.
The Divorce Shekinah Filed Is Still Open
The other thing tying him to the U.S. is unfinished business. Shekinah filed for divorce in September, and the case is not final. In a recent interview on The Sarah Fraser Show, she said they are stuck in a “limbo state,” admitted that she still loves him, and added, “I really regret bringing him there. I really do,” Complex reported Oct. 18.
She also says she sent him a cease-and-desist over intimate material he performed at a show in Canada. Back in September, Sarper said he had already removed almost everything about her from his routine. The pair now sit on our list of 90 Day Fiance couples who split, with no court date reported.
So is Sarper Guven staying for good? My gut tells me he has found his audience, and it laughs with an American accent. Don’t be surprised if the two-year plan quietly disappears, the same way Turkey never showed up on his tour calendar.

America Is Sarper’s Stage Now, Whatever Happens in Turkey
Comedians go where the laughs are, and right now the laughs are in Ohio, Florida and California. If the people back home really are his toughest crowd, nobody should be shocked that the man who promised to move home in two years is suddenly hedging.
Still, Sarper has changed his story before, and a divorce can change everything. Is he here for good, or will the two-year plan come roaring back? Tell us on our Facebook page.
