TL;DR: The judge threw out Matt Clark’s case on The Young and the Restless. He is free. Victor Newman and Nikki Newman deliver the news to Nick Newman, and every Newman who fought to put this man away should be terrified. Matt Clark Is Free and Genoa City Should Be Terrified

This man was supposed to be finished. Victor Newman had him in a chair. Nick Newman told him to enjoy his last breaths. Sharon Newman looked him dead in the eye and told him he was a failure of a man. And none of it mattered. Because on Tuesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor and Nikki Newman come home to the ranch and deliver the kind of news that makes you want to throw something at your television. The judge in Matt Clark‘s case dismissed it. All of it. The man who drugged Sharon, who manipulated Noah, who terrorized Sienna, who ran a fentanyl operation out of a nightclub while posing as “Mitch Bacall” is now walking the streets with nothing and nobody holding him accountable.

Nick is right there when they break the news, and the rage is going to be palpable. This is the same Nick who told Matt he would kill him with his own hands and mean it this time. The same Nick who has been popping pills and slurring his words and falling apart at the seams for weeks. Now hand that man a dismissed case and a freed predator and tell us this is going to end well.

Victor promised the Newmans he would handle Matt Clark. Victor told them nobody would miss him. And now? Matt Clark is out, and every single person who stood in that room and told him it was over has to live with the fact that it was not.

The judge let Matt Clark walk free and we need to know how you are feeling about it. Write to our editor Amber at [email protected]!

Daniel Romalotti Told Phyllis Summers He Is Done and This Time He Meant It

Phyllis Summers storms into Crimson Lights like a woman who genuinely believes she should be canonized, and yes, she uses that exact word. She has done nothing wrong. She has been brilliant. She has been courageous. And her son Daniel Romalotti and Nick got into Summer’s head and smeared her. That is the version of events Phyllis is selling, and she is the only one buying it.

Daniel is not having it. He tells his mother he does not care about the kind of success she is offering. He does not want it. He is done with her. Phyllis keeps repeating that she did everything for the family, and Daniel walks out with Tessa Porter, who had been playing guitar and singing with him before Phyllis blew in like a hurricane of delusion. But the real gut punch comes after Daniel leaves, because Sharon pops up out of nowhere and stands there glaring at Phyllis. Whatever is about to happen between those two women, it is not going to be friendly.

Victoria Newman and Nate Hastings Shared a Kiss and It Was a Long Time Coming

Victoria Newman is at Society with Nate Hastings, and she is spiraling. Her plan to go after Phyllis through Summer has changed. She admits that Victor confides in Adam over her, and she feels like she has to prove she is the rightful Newman heir. Nate listens, challenges her, pushes her to think about reinventing herself, and tells her she is brilliant and talented. And when they walk out of Society, they kiss. Victoria tells him she appreciates the way he challenges her and stops her from overreacting. Nate tells her he cares about her future and about her. These two have been circling each other for months, and it finally happened.

Diane Jenkins Picked the Wrong Bathroom to Start a Fight

Jack Abbott corners Victor at the GCAC and starts poking the bear about retirement and shuffleboard, because Jack has never once in his life known when to stop. Diane Jenkins is right there with him, marveling at the Newmans showing their faces in public and hoping Victor’s downfall is permanent. But the real fireworks happen when Diane follows Nikki into the bathroom and tells her to stop playing damsel in distress. Nikki fires back that Diane cannot hold onto a man she does not deserve, brags about her special bond with Jack, mocks Diane’s lip color, and walks out. Classic Nikki. Flawless Nikki. And Diane deserved every syllable.

Victor, meanwhile, tells Nikki over dinner that he gave Cane some incentives to make things right and that Lily is fine. He gets a bad phone call and rushes Nikki out the door. Whatever Victor is juggling behind the scenes, it is about to explode.

Matt Clark is free, Phyllis lost her son, and Victoria kissed Nate. Which story has you screaming the loudest? Sound off and share this with every Y&R fan you know!

WATCH THIS: This can’t be good…not good at all!

@soapoperamag HOW does a man like Matt Clark… just disappear after being released? Someone either helped him vanish or took him out. Either way, Nick is spiraling and I don't blame him. This man gave him FENTANYL. And now he's just… gone? Something's very wrong. #YR ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
