DAYS WEEKLY SPOILERS—OCTOBER 12-16: Fresh Suspicions, Risky Bargains, and a Return Salem Cannot Ignore
DAYS Weekly Spoilers: Suspicions finally get voiced, risky bargains get struck, and a long-awaited return sends all of Salem scrambling.
THESE DAYS WEEKLY SPOILERS TURN SALEM’S SECRETS INTO LIABILITIES
TL;DR: These DAYS Weekly Spoilers follow Stephanie voicing her doubts to Kayla and later Alex, Kristen haggling with Sophia as Brady hears unwelcome news, and Chad going head to head with EJ as Sophia heads back to town.

This Week in Salem
These DAYS Weekly Spoilers open on a town full of people who are tired of being lied to and even more tired of keeping their own secrets. Stephanie Johnson stops biting her tongue, Alex Kiriakis decides he has given Joy Wesleyall the room he is willing to give, and Kayla Brady Johnson ends up holding a very full plate of family worries. Elsewhere, Kristen DiMera haggles over terms with Sophia Choi, Brady Black hears something that leaves him uneasy, and by Friday the whole situation is poised to unravel in front of everyone.
Across the DiMera orbit, Chad DiMera goes after EJ DiMera directly, Cat Greene faces a grilling from Marlena Evans, and Belle Black joins Chad in concluding that Dominic Marino holds the missing pieces. Love and loyalty keep sneaking in where they can, with Mason Whitfield catching Holly Jonas off guard and Johnny DiMera offering his help where it matters.

Monday, October 12th
Mason hands Holly a proposal, and the word alone is enough to make anyone double-check the calendar. The two share a bumpy history thanks to everything that surrounded Sophia, and Mason has already admitted he came down too hard on her, which makes this surprise even harder to read.
Alex has described Joy’s stay under his roof as temporary at every turn. On Monday he finally replaces the talk with a boundary, and since Joy has leaned hard on his sense of obligation, it will be interesting to see how she reacts when the line stays put.
Stephanie has spent weeks swallowing her opinions for the sake of the custody arrangement, but she cannot hold it in anymore and unloads her doubts on her mom. Kayla ran Joy’s tests herself, so she knows exactly how that hospital stay went, which makes her the right person to hear it.
Brady hears something about Kristen that he clearly did not want to hear, and after the scare Rachel endured, the timing could not be worse. He has a line to Kristen for emergencies, so any word traveling the other way is bound to rattle him.
Kristen sits down with Sophia, the woman she tracked down at the end of last week, and they hammer out an arrangement. Neither of them has ever been famous for playing fair, so the fine print deserves close attention.
Tuesday, October 13th
Roman Brady cooks up a tender surprise for Kate Roberts, a welcome change of pace after the pair spent last week rigging a mansion together. He told her he was doing it all for her, so a grand romantic move feels like the natural next step.
Time is running short for Xander Kiriakis and his brother, Philip Kiriakis, who mount a final effort to hold on to the Kiriakis mansion. The leaky pipes, fake mold and attic asbestos were only the opening act, and if the buyer stays put, ideas are in short supply.
Marlena presses Cat for answers, and Cat, who walked out on EJ and says she has a few irons in the fire, has to decide how much to share. Whatever Marlena is hoping to learn, she has had more than enough of Stefano’s games.
Chad goes to EJ for a confrontation, and it is not a friendly chat. Belle has already told Chad that EJ walked free for lack of evidence, so he arrives with plenty on his mind.

Wednesday, October 14th
EJ works to lure Cat back to the assistant post she abandoned, which takes real nerve after the way she quit on him. He has leaned on her professionally and personally for a long time, and he does not seem to be ready to admit what the office looks like without her.
Lani Price is caught off guard by an unexpected development. The governor said no to a pardon last week, but the public support that poured in after her podcast appearance has not gone anywhere.
Gwen Rizczech leaves Philip squirming. He is trying to keep his head down after his Monte Carlo run and the poker invitation he deleted, and a woman who admits she gets into trouble when she is bored is the last person he needs nearby.
Chad and Belle decide that real answers can only come from Dominic himself. Belle already insisted on DNA proof the moment he arrives, and with word out that he is coming on his own schedule, patience is wearing thin.
Thursday, October 15th
Stephanie finally voices her doubts regarding Joy to Alex. He has spent weeks protecting the custody deal, so questions about the mother of his daughter are a lot to ask him to swallow.
Maggie Kiriakis shares some advice with Julie Williams. Julie cheerfully cheated her way through the baby shower games, so anything that makes her stop and listen must be good.
Joy aims her charm squarely at Tate Black. Sarah steered him her way as a trainer, and the woman who greeted him so coldly last week now seems to have changed her tune.
Holly and Mason find some common ground. After an icy start at the gym, a little understanding goes a long way.
Getting ready to remember Lexie Carver are Theo Carver and Abe Carver. Salem said goodbye to her in August, and grief clearly has not loosened its grip.

Friday, October 16th
Marlena urges Brady to tread lightly with Kristen. Brady has stood by her through the Dominic mess, so she knows better than most how fast good intentions can go sideways.
Jada Hunter dangles Lani’s former position in front of her. Lani left law enforcement and recently discussed why on a podcast, so the timing of the invitation is hard to ignore.
Sophia walks back into Salem. She is the birth mother of Trey, the baby Chanel Dupree is raising with Johnny, and plenty of people she hurt are still in town.
Johnny volunteers his aid to Xander and Sarah Horton as they dig for the truth. Sarah’s reputation took a pounding when Melinda Trask went public, and Xander has sworn to prove she was set up.
Kristen slips quietly to the side of Rachel Black. The little girl cried for her mother after the surgery scare, and Kristen has been away for months.

Salem Is Running Out of Places to Hide
With a proposal on the table, a long-awaited arrival on the horizon and old suspicions finally spoken aloud, someone in Salem has to blink. Does Joy keep her careful act together, or does Stephanie finally pull the thread? Does Sophia’s return bring answers, or only more trouble? Does Chad’s showdown with EJ help Johnny, or hand the DiMera patriarch more ammunition?
Tell us on our Facebook page: should Alex trust Stephanie’s instincts about Joy, or give Joy the benefit of the doubt?
