Beyond the Gates Recap October 26, 2026: Baby For Sale! Hayley Lawson Puts a Price on Her Pregnancy
This Beyond the Gates Recap catches Hayley Lawson’s baby bombshell, Smitty’s shaky defense, and Heather Armstrong’s dinner party disaster.
HAYLEY PRICES HER BABY IN THIS BEYOND THE GATES RECAP
TL;DR: This Beyond the Gates Recap catches Hayley Lawson learning a baby is on the way and immediately drawing up a payday plan with Randy Parker. Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne begs Grayson Perez to testify for Smitty, Ted Richardson pitches Shanice Johnson a house the size of a museum, and Heather Armstrong sours a dinner at Joey Armstrong’s before charming Bill Hamilton and Jacob Hawthorne.

Hayley Plans to Cash In
Hayley Lawson marched Randy Parker through her hotel door, thrust a positive test under his nose, and announced that the universe had sent her an invoice she never ordered. This was a woman with a scheme in progress, a fresh set of fake names, and a vacation home she could not sell because of storm season. A baby had not been on the vision board. Her St. Bart’s escape fund remained stuck in a hurricane watch, because even the weather had opinions about her plans.
Randy, meanwhile, behaved like a man who had won the lottery and a free car. He reminded her that child support meant enormous checks and no more wardrobes full of aliases. Hayley wrinkled her nose, since in her world there were far tidier paydays than a nursery. She then said something that landed softer than anything else all day: children deserve better than a parent who resents them, and she knew exactly what that does to a person. Her upbringing taught her to save herself, and she admitted it had also done her a strange favor.
Randy took that as proof she had a heart in there somewhere, and he swore his own son rearranged his whole outlook. A baby, he said, would make her bulletproof. Hayley, being Hayley, spotted a different angle. Bill Hamilton would surely come sniffing around for his child, so why not let him pay for the privilege? She imagined handing over the baby with every legal right attached, minus a heap of cash first. Randy called the plan human trafficking, and Hayley called it business, which may be the most Hayley sentence ever spoken.
Is Hayley bluffing about selling her baby, or was that the first honest thing she ever said? Email us your take at amber@soapoperamagazine.com, we want to hear it.

Smitty’s Defense Gets Messy
Jacob Hawthorne sat with Bill Hamilton at the club to hash out his fight with Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne, and Bill, a man with a spotty record on spousal advice, offered a judgment-free ear. He praised honest arguments as glue for a marriage and reminded Jacob that Smitty was the one who first steered him toward The Impaler. Jacob grumbled that he was chasing a ghost while his loved ones footed the bill for his job. Bill added that the brass wanted answers, the media wanted a circus, and The Impaler was probably cackling.
Naomi, meanwhile, cornered Grayson Perez, who was still rattled from his run-in with the killer. She begged him to supply reasonable doubt for the jury, and he gave her a real clue: Lia hated drugs, so a sudden pill habit did not add up. Ashley Morgan stormed in, furious that Naomi wanted Grayson on the witness stand, and fretted about his two jobs. Naomi offered a screen to hide him, but nobody else knew the real Lia, and Grayson admitted he might owe Smitty.
She also hunted for a video editing whiz, and Grayson only knew Ren Tolliver, who was locked up yet might still be pulling strings from his cell. The Red Market preferred recruits with medical training and money trouble, and the group wondered what made The Impaler break a long quiet streak.

Ted’s Dream House Hunt
Ted Richardson showed Shanice Johnson pictures of a dream home, and she likened it to a landmark with a gift shop. Eight bathrooms, six bedrooms, and a second kitchen outdoors, because apparently one kitchen was too humble. He promised staff, guests, and serious cachet. She wanted a cozy place with knick-knacks and a vegetable patch, and she worried that two people who disagreed on something so basic might struggle to share a roof.
Ted begged her only to look, with zero pressure. Shanice agreed, though they skipped the kiss, which told you everything about how sold she felt.
Joey’s Dinner Party Flops
Heather Armstrong arrived at Joey Armstrong’s door with a bottle of wine, and Joey greeted her with the enthusiasm of a man at a tax audit. This evening was all for Vanessa McBride, he reminded her, and Heather suggested he take etiquette lessons. Dinner turned out to be a single appetizer of spanakopita, which Heather adored, but she could not endure the news that the meal ended there. Vanessa tried to save the night by opening the wine, Heather declined, and then she stormed out with the bottle in her arms, which is one way to take a hostess gift back.
Ted phoned Vanessa with a favor, a tour of listings for Shanice, and she gladly agreed. Then she scolded Joey over his rudeness toward his sister, and he labeled it a heads-up and urged her to take notes. Nobody ever listens to a warning about Heather until it is too late.
Later, Bill predicted that men like The Impaler always slip up, and Jacob replied that this one might be standing close by. Right on cue, Heather bounced over with a big smile, announcing it was high time they all met. She told Bill she was friends with Dani Dupree, had heard about his ordeal, and was glad he was fine. She admired Jacob’s work, even mentioning those blood ring lunatics, and once she left, the two men agreed she was strange. The viewers, of course, know exactly who stood in front of them.

A Price Tag on Everything
Hayley found out she was expecting and instantly started pricing it, because some women see a miracle and some see a margin. Jacob and Naomi were still fighting over Smitty’s case, with Grayson reluctantly becoming the key witness. Ted had a mansion in mind, Shanice had a veggie garden in her heart, and Joey’s dinner went sideways before dessert. Every story in this Beyond the Gates Recap involved someone trying to decide what a thing was really worth, and the most polite person in the room turned out to be the most dangerous.
