At her place, Brooke Logan let Bill Spencer in, relieved that Ridge had already left for the office. Bill did not sugarcoat it. “I tried talking to Katie, but it was no use.”

Right on cue, an alert hit his phone: the email Katie sent her staff. He showed Brooke, and her jaw dropped. Bill then warned her about the Spencer Publications headlines Katie approved.

“Your wife ought to be ashamed of herself,” Brooke told him. She was still raging about the “offensive trash” when Bill delivered the last blow: the Zende press release was going live that day.

Then Darcy Dylan turned up with some of her daughter’s more professional outfits. “You have to beg” for that job, Darcy said. She wanted Dylan to do whatever it took, declared her outfit “Logan-ready,” and even offered to drive over with Dylan and role-play as Katie. No thanks, Dylan said.

At Logan, after Katie announced her team was complete, Will countered that it was not quite: she still had to hire his girlfriend. “Today is the day. Do the right thing. And God, just be nice to her.”

Then Will left Dylan alone in the office with his mother, Katie Logan Spencer. Dylan did not beg. “It’s your company,” she reminded Katie, so it is not about what Will wants. “What do you want, Mrs. Spencer?”
