ORPHEUS IS BACK AND MARLENA EVANS GOES STRAIGHT TO HIS DOOR

TL;DR: The official Days of Our Lives winter promo brings back Orpheus, and Marlena and Steve go to see him while Dominic Marino calls EJ his brother. Here is what is confirmed and what is still a guess.

Marlena Evans and Steve Johnson Pay the Devil a Visit

It is confirmed: Orpheus (George DelHoyo) is back on Days of Our Lives. The official fall and winter promo, released by Peacock on Monday, November 2, 2026, sends Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to pay the old monster a visit. It lands the same week Dominic Marino (Kyle Pryor) finally walked into Salem.

Nobody calls on this man for tea. These Days of Our Lives spoilers come with no air date, and since the show tapes months ahead, the scene could stream any time this winter. Where the villain is being kept, and what Marlena and Steve want from him, the promo does not say. That silence is the whole story.

Marlena and Steve Have Faced This Monster Before

This is a rematch. In April 2025, Marlena and Steve went head to head with him in Tallinn, Estonia, days after Marlena knocked him out cold in her hotel room on March 31 and he slipped away before the ISA could haul him off. This is the man who kidnapped Marlena back in 1986 and blackmailed a governor in 2022. Marlena does not go back to him unless she is desperate.

And she is desperate. As our daily recaps have tracked, Steve is the one who showed her Dominic’s birth certificate on September 25, with Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo) on the father’s line and Marlena’s own name on the mother’s. She called Dominic on October 27 and got his voicemail. On Monday she admitted she wants the truth, whatever it costs.

Dominic Marino Calls EJ His Brother

The promo’s other jaw dropper belongs to Dominic. He walks up to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), tells him they meet at last, introduces himself and delivers the line Salem will be chewing on all winter: “Hello, brother.” On paper that tracks, since the certificate puts Stefano on the father’s line. Paper is not proof, and EJ is not a man who takes anything on faith.

Our full breakdown of the winter promo covers Leo, Chloe and the rest of the reel. Here the question is narrower and nastier. What does Orpheus know, and why would he tell Marlena of all people?

Is Orpheus Dominic Marino’s Father on Days of Our Lives?

Nothing says so, and nothing in the promo puts the two men in the same room. The idea is a fan favorite, though, and the show itself is in on the joke. In an in-character video shared before his debut, Dominic read fan guesses about his parents out loud, the villain’s secret son among them, and answered, “I would like to know your evidence behind this.” For the record, the certificate names Stefano and Marlena, and nobody has proven or disproven a word of it.

What the Villain Reportedly Tells Them

Lines reported from the promo have him greeting the pair with “I’ve been expecting you” and promising that “the truth is beyond your wildest dreams.” Hold those loosely until the scene streams, because we could not check them against the footage ourselves. Notice, too, that he never says whose truth. Marlena may walk in asking about Dominic, but if I know these writers, Orpheus answers a different question entirely.

Fan bloggers picked the promo apart within hours, and the guessing has only started. My gut says he knows something about Stefano’s last years and will enjoy making Marlena pay for it. Could he know who really filled out that certificate? Or is Orpheus simply the best liar in Salem, selling a grieving widow the one story she is afraid to hear?

Marlena Should Not Trust a Single Word From This Villain

Going to that man for the truth is like asking the fox to count the hens. Whatever he tells her will be true enough to hurt and twisted enough to serve him. Steve knows it, which is exactly why he is standing beside her.

Still, we would pay good money to watch Marlena stare him down one more time. Is she brave or reckless for knocking on that door? Tell us on our Facebook page.
