LESLIE THOMAS HELD HER TONGUE WHILE BARBARA’S VOICE FILLED THE STUDIO

TL;DR: Leslie Thomas kept her stay quiet deal as Devon Winters produced the Articulettes’ session and played Barbara’s vocals. Vernon warned the peace won’t last, Kat and Eva got stuck together, and Randy lost his booth.

It is confirmed: the Beyond the Gates recap for November 4, 2026 ends the week’s biggest question with a whisper, not a scream. Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) walked into the Articulettes’ recording session holding the say over her mother’s recorded voice, and she never once used it as a weapon.

The Y&R crossover opened the day. Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) met Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) at the studio and swapped stories about the late Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). Devon said he would produce the session himself. Then he dropped the detail that set Vernon’s jaw: Leslie had reached out to him several times.

Vernon did not wait to find out why. He asked Lily to keep Leslie occupied so she would not cause problems. The man knows his houseguests.

Barbara’s Voice Brings the Room to Tears

Lily went starstruck the second Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) arrived with Tracy Tyler (Maria Howell) and Sharon Winger (Bonita Brisker). When Leslie showed up, Lily steered her into the control room and kept her there while the group rehearsed.

Then Devon played the vocals of Barbara Mitchell, and the whole room came apart. Lily ended up consoling Leslie Thomas, and later told Vernon privately that she likes her. Vernon warned her the goodwill won’t last. We asked this week whether Devon and Leslie would clash in that studio. They did not trade a single cross word on screen.

The Articulettes recorded their track. Afterward, Anita stood alone in the live room holding Barbara’s scarf, a quiet goodbye to the bandmate whose voice finally made the album.

Did Leslie Thomas Ruin the Articulettes Recording Session?

No. Leslie Thomas spoke only to thank Vernon for letting her attend, and it surprised him. That matters because of the paper trail. On September 2, the deal turned on her permission to use Barbara’s voice. On October 30 she threatened to pull it if Anita gave her attitude, then apologized.

Here is the part nobody else is lining up. On August 20, 2025, Vernon escorted Leslie out while she sang an Articulettes song at him. Fourteen months later, she thanked that same man for letting her into the room. If the spoilers promised Devon and Lily would bring news, nothing in the episode showed it.

Kat and Eva Get Stuck at the Same Table

Kat Richardson (Colby Nixon) ducked wedding planning with Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) and Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson). She told Izaiah Hawthorne (Lami) she can’t forgive what Eva and Leslie did to her mother, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix). Shanice refereed at the club, then invented an excuse to leave the half-sisters alone. They ended up laughing together.

At the casino, Izaiah told Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) people have the wrong idea about him and Kat. He swore he is committed to Eva. Joey did not buy it, and said marrying Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) would only put a target on her back.

Randy Loses His Booth and His Lunch

At Orphey Gene’s, Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) slid in across from Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry). He explained Vanessa is upset over his ties to Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings). Deanna defended him right up until he admitted he works for Joey, and then she let him have it. Vanessa walked in, and mother and daughter kicked Randy out of his own booth with half his meal still on the plate.

What Comes Next in Fairmont Crest

Thursday’s Beyond the Gates spoilers have Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) worried about Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), and Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) making an emotional confession to Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit). Friday, Caroline Lee (Ellie Wang) stands up to Bill.

My gut tells me Vernon is right about the clock, and wrong about the reason. Leslie Thomas now has a finished track with her mother on it. Don’t be surprised if the next fight is over who gets the credit.

Did Leslie’s quiet afternoon win you over, or are you with Vernon? Leave your verdict in the comments below the article.

Leslie Earned One Quiet Afternoon, Not a Clean Slate

We give Leslie this one. She sat in a glass box while the room played her mother’s voice, and she said thank you. Lily saw a grieving daughter. Vernon saw a woman biding her time. Both can be true.

Our money says the truce cracks the day that album has a release date. Whose side are you on, Lily’s or Vernon’s? Settle it with us on our Facebook page.
