The Young and the Restless
Negative Test, Real Fear! What Is Really Making Y&R’s Abby Winters Dizzy, Nauseous, And Scared?
Abby Winters’ pregnancy test was negative on Young and the Restless, but the dizzy spells linger and she tells Devon she is truly scared.
ABBY NEWMAN’S NEGATIVE TEST DID NOT END THE DIZZY SPELLS
TL;DR: This is speculation, but after a negative pregnancy test, Y&R’s Abby Newman is still dizzy and nauseous and says she is scared, which makes it fair to ask what the show is really setting up.

Symptoms That Did Not Go Away
Abby Newman first felt it at Society, where she got dizzy enough to sit down and then brushed it off as a bug she had picked up from her son, Dominic. Devon Winters offered to cancel his trip, and Abby talked him out of it. After Chelsea Lawson walked through the symptoms of pregnancy, Abby began to wonder, and she later admitted she had never believed it was possible for her, though miracles do happen. She was not ready to take a test and risk jinxing it.
The test did come, and it was negative. At the OB’s office, the doctor was cautious but said a pregnancy was possible for her, Devon admitted he had never imagined being in that situation, and Abby said it had been fun to picture another Winters in the world. Then Devon saw how sad she was and suggested a walk and a visit with their son before they figured out how to talk about her dizzy spells. The test closed one question. It did not touch the other.

What The Show May Be Telling Us
Abby Newman carries a history that makes this storyline heavy. She has lived through infertility, and her son arrived through Mariah Copeland, so a pregnancy question was always going to mean something different for her than it would for most people. A negative result does not take that weight away. It simply leaves her with symptoms and no explanation.
What follows is speculation, and it deserves to be treated carefully. A negative test with the symptoms still in place leaves a few doors open. The show could be setting up a health scare that has nothing to do with pregnancy, something her doctors need to look at more closely. It could be setting up a second test later. Or it could be building a quieter story about a woman who has been running on empty and finally has to say so out loud.
The detail that matters most is how the show is writing her. In the preview for upcoming episodes, Abby tells Devon, “I’m so scared,” and Devon answers, “It’s going to be okay. I’m here. We can do this.” People say that kind of thing when the answer is bigger than a stomach bug. Abby Newman also shares concerns about her health with Devon in upcoming episodes, which puts the focus on her and not on a baby. The writers took a character with a complicated past, let the one answer she hoped for come back negative, and kept her symptoms in the story, and that choice looks deliberate.
