General Hospital Spoilers: Hudson Parker’s Taped Backstory Could Expose Jude, a Jacks Tie or Phoebe

Troy Lennon Appel Says Hudson’s Past Is Already on Tape
Who is Hudson Parker on General Hospital? The answer is already sitting in an editing bay. On the October 25 episode of Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson’s That’s Awesome podcast, Troy Lennon Appel let it slip: “We actually just shot what Parker’s background is.”
“There’s more to Hudson which we will eventually find out,” he said, adding, “He’s up to some stuff.” The show offered him a three-year contract and said, “We’re creating a character for you.” Nobody builds a man from scratch for three years unless he has a secret in his briefcase.
Since his July 30 debut, Jax’s VP of Operations has been the right hand of Josslyn Jacks at Jasper Jacks Enterprises, and he has been reporting to someone nobody has seen. In August he told that voice he would get Josslyn to change her mind about the CEO job. On October 15, Ric Lansing slipped a bug into it.
Then on Friday, October 23, Sonny Corinthos offered to pay Hudson to keep an eye on Josslyn, and Hudson did not blink. He started haggling over his fee. One reader on the Wub Tub fan blog said what we were all thinking: Sonny was supposed to find something on Hudson, “not BRIBE HIM.” That is our two paychecks prediction playing out on screen.

The Taping Math Puts the Reveal at the Edge of Sweeps
General Hospital tapes about six weeks ahead of air. If “just shot” means the week or two before that podcast dropped, those scenes were filmed in mid October, which puts them on screen somewhere around the last week of November or the first days of December. November sweeps run October 29 to November 25. So the backstory lands at the tail end of sweeps at the earliest.
Circulating spoiler chatter has Ric and Sonny learning the week of November 2 that Hudson takes orders from Jude. My gut tells me that is the opening act, not the reveal. Ric’s bug can tell Sonny who Hudson calls. Only the backstory can tell us why.
Who Is Hudson Parker Really on General Hospital?
Nobody on screen has said. Three answers fit what has aired, plus one wildcard. The first is Jude’s man. The Australian stranger arrived October 16, keeps a pistol in his Metro Court nightstand, and has admitted he was supposed to meet someone the night he picked up Britt instead.
In this week’s promo, Jude turns up at the Quartermaine door and tells Brook Lynn, “I’m here to see my daughter.” No scene has put him in a room with Hudson yet. Track every beat in our two-week spoilers.
Hudson Could Be Guarding a Jacks Family Secret
Hudson is the man who told Josslyn that her father, Jasper Jacks, had named her CEO while Jax was off sailing around the world. Sonny’s pitch at the Grill leaned hard on Jax coming home. And back in September, the head writers said JJE “is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.”
So is Hudson minding the store for Jax, or for a Jacks nobody has met? Our look at whether Jude could be the son of Jerry Jacks put that family tree on the table. Could Hudson Parker be hanging from a branch of it too?
The Man Who Hunted Delilah’s Baby
The third answer is the oldest clue. On August 4, the same day Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Harrison Chase adopted Phoebe Chase, Hudson cornered Ethan Lovett in Norway. He called Ethan a thief who had stolen from the wrong man and threatened him. Ethan had sworn Delilah’s baby was dead. Hudson learned otherwise, and Ethan left town.
Hudson did not sound like a hired hand. He sounded like a man who had lost something. In October, at Sonny’s gym, he said Phoebe “won’t miss what she can’t remember.” Her biological father has never been named on screen, so if Hudson Parker has a claim, why is Jude the one knocking?
Or Hudson Works for Whoever Pays Best
The wildcard is the simplest. A man who reports to a mystery boss and haggles with Sonny may be loyal only to himself. If the backstory reveals a hustler who has burned bosses before, Josslyn is the one left holding the bill. She took the JJE job on WSB orders, so a VP who knows too much could blow her cover.
