The Young and the Restless
Y&R SPICY HOT TAKE! Lauren Fenmore Took a Job Inside Victor Newman’s Nightmare and Michael Baldwin Does Not Get a Vote
Lauren Fenmore said yes to Phyllis Summers and joined Summers Conglomerate on Y&R. Michael Baldwin was in the room. Karma was too.

LAUREN FENMORE SAID YES TO PHYLLIS SUMMERS AND MICHAEL BALDWIN CAN SIT WITH THAT
TL;DR: Phyllis Summers did the full court press and Lauren Fenmore said yes on The Young and the Restless. Lauren is joining Summers Conglomerate, formerly known as Newman Enterprises, and Michael Baldwin was in the room when it happened and could not say a single word about it. We are not here to be balanced about this. Karma showed up in Phyllis Summers’ new office and it was dressed for business.
Let Us Talk About What Happened
Lauren Fenmore is not a woman who sits still. She never has been. She built Fenmore’s into something formidable, ran Newman Media and Fenmore’s simultaneously at the peak of her executive career, and thrived on every second of it. The pace. The power. The satisfaction of running two empires at once and making it look effortless.
Then things settled. Fenmore’s alone started feeling like a smaller version of the life she was built for. A woman with Lauren’s appetite for the game does not stay satisfied running one board when she knows what it felt like to run two.
Phyllis Summers saw that. Phyllis always sees the angle. She did the full court press, sat Lauren down in her new office at Summers Conglomerate, formerly known as Newman Enterprises, and made her case. Lauren consulted Michael Baldwin first. Michael came in swinging. Things calmed down. Lauren accepted.
Now, just like that, the most exciting new executive at Summers Conglomerate is Lauren Fenmore. Victor Newmandoes not know yet. We would very much like to be in the room when he finds out.

Michael Baldwin Does Not Get a Vote and He Knows It
Let us talk about the man who was sitting in that room, watching his wife accept a position inside the company Victor Newman is desperately trying to reclaim.
Michael Baldwin has spent years as Victor’s fixer. Years of doing the legal dirty work, navigating the ethical gray areas, and putting himself in positions that caused Lauren worry and grief on a loop that never fully stopped. He has been Victor’s man through scandal after scandal, crisis after crisis, and Lauren has stood by him through all of it with the patience of a woman who loves her husband and the exhaustion of a woman who has earned the right to make exactly this kind of decision without being questioned.
So when Phyllis Summers made her pitch, and Lauren said yes, Michael Baldwin sat in that room, and he did the math. He knows what he has put Lauren through. He knows the years of Victor’s business becoming their business, whether Lauren wanted it to or not. He knows he does not have the moral high ground here, and he is smart enough to recognize it.
Michael came in swinging at Phyllis. Of course he did. He is Michael Baldwin, and Phyllis Summers in the same room is never going to be a quiet situation. Things calmed down. Lauren accepted. Michael watched it happen.
Karma did not make an appointment. Karma just showed up in Phyllis Summers’ new office, wearing Lauren Fenmore’s confidence and a very nice blazer.
The Victor Newman Dimension
Here is the part that makes this truly extraordinary.
Victor Newman is still actively trying to reclaim Newman Enterprises. The company that is now Summers Conglomerate. The empire that Phyllis is currently running from the office that used to be his. Victor has not let go, and Victor never lets go.
Michael Baldwin is still tied to Victor. That loyalty runs deep, and it has cost Lauren more than it should have over the years.
Lauren Fenmore just walked into Victor’s nightmare and took a desk.
Nikki Newman does not know yet either, which adds its own layer of complexity, given that Nikki and Lauren are friends. Nikki is currently displaced from the Ranch, living at the Genoa City Athletic Club after Victor threw her out. Her husband is trying to reclaim his empire. Her friend just joined the woman running it.
Genoa City is a very small town when it wants to be.
Why Lauren Fenmore Is Exactly Right for This
This is not a woman taking a job out of spite or boredom or a desire to cause chaos. This is a seasoned executive who knows exactly what she is capable of and finally has a stage big enough to prove it again.
Lauren ran Newman Media and Fenmore’s at the same time, and she did not just survive it. She was energized by it. That is who Lauren Fenmore is. She is a woman who gets sharper under pressure, more focused when the stakes are higher, and more herself when the room demands everything she has.
Phyllis Summers recognized that. Smart women always recognize other smart women.
Victor Newman is going to find out that Lauren joined Summers Conglomerate. Michael Baldwin is going to have to navigate being Victor’s man while his wife sits on the other side of that war. Nikki is going to find out her friend is now working for the woman running her husband’s former empire.
Genoa City has not seen Lauren Fenmore operating at full capacity in a while. Summers Conglomerate is about to find out what that looks like.
We are completely here for it. Michael Baldwin can sit with his feelings. He has earned exactly this.
Is Lauren Fenmore the best thing that could have happened to Summers Conglomerate? And how long before Victor Newman finds out and makes everyone’s life significantly more complicated? Sound off below because this one is going to start a conversation!
