NO RECAP PUTS EJ DIMERA IN THE LAB WHERE GEORGE AND XANDER WERE SHOT

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives spoilers have EJ DiMera coming home with blood on his shirt cuff and throwing a book at Stefano’s portrait. No recap puts him in the lab where George and Xander were shot, so whose blood is it?

The Cuff, the Book and the Portrait

EJ DiMera comes home to the DiMera mansion with blood on his shirt cuff in the preview for the week of October 26, and the Days of Our Lives spoilers are not saying whose it is. He pushes up his suit sleeve and there it is. Later he grabs a book, hurls it at the portrait of his late father, Stefano DiMera, and lets out a scream. No preview gives either scene a day.

Here is the twist fans have missed. No recap of the October 22 or October 23 episodes puts EJ in the DiMera lab where George O’Halloran and Xander Kiriakis shot each other. And the man who believes EJ attacked him came away with a lump on his head, not a wound. The two easy answers both have a hole in them.

The Night Before the Bloody Cuff

As our daily recaps laid out, Thursday was a long night. Steve Johnson watched George’s house until he saw EJ walk in, then called Johnny DiMera. Inside, EJ grilled George about his missing laptop. George said it was hidden in the lab and he was going to DiMera that night with a cloned key card, and EJ offered him money and a new identity to leave Salem once he had it.

As George walked off, Steve said he would follow him to the lab. Then someone came up behind Steve and tased him in the neck. Nobody saw who did it.

On Friday, Johnny shut off the lab cameras, and Sarah Horton and Xander found the laptop behind a framed chart. George pulled a gun and fired. Xander took the bullet meant for Sarah and shot George in the chest. EJ was not in that room, and nobody on screen has said whether either man will make it.

Whose Blood Is on EJ DiMera’s Cuff on Days of Our Lives?

No preview names the source of the blood on EJ DiMera’s cuff. Here is how we rank the options against the timeline, most likely first.

Number one: George. He is the one with a bullet in his chest, in a DiMera lab, guarding the laptop EJ wanted out of Salem. If EJ went there after the shots to grab that computer, his sleeve would give him away. The catch is that no recap puts EJ anywhere near that lab.

Number two: Xander. Same room, same gunfire, and Xander took the bullet in the abdomen. But Xander has spent months trying to expose EJ, and getting close enough to the man to bleed on would be a strange move for EJ.

Number three: Steve. Steve is sure EJ tased him, and on Monday Shawn Brady questions EJ about that attack with an assumption and no evidence. But a Taser is not a knife. The EMT found a lump on Steve’s head, and no recap mentions Steve bleeding at all.

Number four: his own. Nothing in the preview shows EJ hurt. Then again, a man who throws a book at his father’s portrait might have put a fist through something first. Our wildcard: the blood has nothing to do with the lab at all.

Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), EJ DiMera's late father, whose portrait at the DiMera mansion takes a thrown book in Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of October 26, 2026

Stefano’s Portrait Has Heard Worse

That portrait has been the family confessional all fall. On September 18, Stefano’s longtime secretary stood alone in front of it and said, “It’s playing out as you planned, sir.” Five days later EJ stood in the same spot and asked, “Father, what have you done?” Throwing a book at it is new.

Here is the dark joke. Steve, the man who believes EJ tased him, once carried Stefano’s mind on a microchip. Now Steve is the one warning Cat Greene on Wednesday: “Don’t ever give EJ DiMera the benefit of the doubt. You might not live to regret it.”

Shawn Asks on Monday, Johnny Pushes on Wednesday

The questions start Monday, when Shawn questions EJ about the attack on Steve. Whether Shawn ever sees that cuff, no preview says. On Wednesday, Johnny faces down his father and his future, and he already apologized to Jada Hunter for his father on Friday.

If I know these writers, the blood is the thread that pulls the whole sweater apart. If George does not pull through, EJ DiMera could try to pin the entire mess on the man he fired, and a bloody cuff is a terrible look for that plan. The wider soap rumor mill has guesses, not answers.

Is it George, Xander, Steve or EJ himself? Tell us your pick in the comments.

EJ’s Cuff Is the Clue That Could Finally Sink Him

Our take: we do not buy Steve’s blood, and we are not sold on George’s either. The show has worked hard to keep EJ out of that lab on screen, and soaps rarely hide a man that carefully unless they plan to show us where he really was.

Our money is on the laptop. Nobody has said who walked out of that lab with it, and EJ wanted it gone more than anyone. Is it George’s blood, Xander’s, Steve’s or EJ’s own? Make your pick on our Facebook page.

Did EJ DiMera shoot George O’Halloran on Days of Our Lives?

Nobody saw the attacker. Steve was tased near George O’Halloran’s house on October 22, 2026, and later said he believes EJ did it. Jada Hunter said there was no evidence, and Shawn Brady questions EJ about the attack on Monday, October 26.
