ALEX KIRIAKIS COMES WITHIN INCHES OF JOY WESLEY’S SECRET

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives spoilers: Joy Wesley’s pills turned up at the Brady Pub on Tuesday, Alex nearly catches her Wednesday and Kayla puts her to the test Friday.

Alex Kiriakis Gets the Closest Call Yet

The newest Days of Our Lives spoilers put Joy Wesley one step from getting caught, and it is not who you expect. On Wednesday, October 21, every preview has Alex Kiriakis coming this close to catching Joy doing something she should not be doing. She narrowly slips past him. If you heard Stephanie Johnson is the one who nearly walks in on her Wednesday, the previews say otherwise. Stephanie had her near miss on October 12.

And Joy’s luck may already be running out. On Tuesday, October 20, a package of pills from her father turned up at the Brady Pub. It was open in Roman Brady‘s hands, and a pill bottle fell out. Nobody has shown Roman reacting yet, or telling a soul. But those pills are no longer Joy’s private business.

Every Clue Salem Has on Joy So Far

Tuesday was a rough first day for the new houseguest. Alex moved Joy and baby Kelsey into the Kiriakis mansion, insisting it was about logistics. The minute he left, she hurled a copy of Goodnight Moon at the door and nearly hit her trainer, Tate Black, who pointed out that she had just shown incredible arm strength. Joy apologized, and Tate gave her some rehab advice and left.

Then Bonnie Lockhart took her read. Bonnie said she has seen how Joy looks at Alex, called her a fellow schemer and told her to move on before she gets her heart broken. Joy denied it. Alone with Kelsey, she promised her daughter they will be a family with Alex.

Stephanie has been building her case for weeks, as our daily recaps have tracked. On Tuesday she researched ways to fake paralysis on her laptop and told Alex she is certain Joy is faking. Alex called it unlikely. Stephanie reminded him that Joy is the daughter of a doctor and argued that Joy’s priority is Alex, not Kelsey. By the end of the night, the married couple had stopped arguing and landed in each other’s arms.

Who Will Catch Joy Wesley First on Days of Our Lives?

Wednesday belongs to Alex, but he only comes close. The bigger moment lands Friday, October 23, when Kayla Johnson puts Joy to the test. No preview says what kind of test. That matters, because Kayla is the doctor who told Stephanie on October 12 that every medical sign points to real paralysis. Back on September 16, she said the missing reflexes would be next to impossible to fake.

Here is what Kayla has not seen. Joy hopped out of bed alone to grab her phone on September 28. She took her father’s muscle relaxers before her nerve study on October 1, and the results came back abnormal. Before a training session with Tate on October 15, she popped pills. Put it together and Joy is hiding that she can move her legs, which means Friday puts Kayla’s own word on the line.

Stephanie first took her worries to Alex last week, when Stephanie went to Alex about Joy. He did not buy it then either. The difference now is that the clues are sitting in other people’s hands, and Joy Wesley cannot watch all of them at once.

Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) faces Joy Wesley's custody terms over their daughter Kelsey, the stakes if he catches her, in Days of Our Lives spoilers for October 2026

What Joy Wesley Stands to Lose

Kelsey is the whole ballgame. The custody agreement Alex signed on Joy’s terms on September 7 keeps Stephanie at least 10 feet from Kelsey for a year. If Alex ever gets proof of what Joy has been hiding, that agreement could be the first thing he tears up. Some circulating spoiler chatter even has him using what he finds to get Stephanie a better deal, though nothing in the previews confirms it.

Wednesday also brings Philip Kiriakis to Stephanie with an offer, and the wider spoiler slate does not say what it is. On Friday, Stephanie and Alex get troubling news, and no preview says it is about Joy. My gut tells me the week of October 26 is when this blows open, but no preview covers those episodes yet. Could Joy Wesley really outlast a mansion full of people who have started paying attention?

Alex, Stephanie, Kayla, Tate, Bonnie or Roman: who busts Joy first? Make your pick in the comments.

Joy Has Too Many Witnesses Under One Roof

Our take: Joy moved into the worst possible house for a secret. Bonnie can spot a schemer on sight, Tate’s whole job is watching what her body can do, and her pills are already passing through other hands. My money is on Kayla to land the real proof, and on Alex to be the one it breaks.

When the truth lands, should Alex forgive Joy for Kelsey’s sake, or is she done? Tell us on our Facebook page.
