SALLY ORDERS BILLY TO PACK IN THIS Y&R CANADIAN DAY-AHEAD
TL;DR: This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead brings Billy Abbott home to Sally Spectra with a phone call he can’t hide anymore, and Sally has strong opinions about what he should do for Jill Abbott. Adam Newman needs help putting his feelings into words, and Victor Newman wants to know exactly what Nick Newman did to Matt Clark. Want the bigger picture? Our Y&R spoilers for the next two weeks have it all.

Sally Spectra Gives Billy Abbott a Packing Order
This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead opens with the smallest passenger in Genoa City arriving at the most emotional homecoming. Sally Spectra and Billy Abbott bring Baby Ruby home feeling blessed, and Sally declares they finally have everything they ever wanted. It’s a lovely thought, and Genoa City has never once let a lovely thought stand.
Sally can tell something is bothering her husband, and she demands to know about that phone call. Billy tells her that Jill Abbott has had a heart attack. Snapper called right as the reception was starting, and Cane Ashby is already on his way to London. Sally tells him he has to go too. Billy explains that Cane is going to assess the situation first, which does not move Sally one inch. She orders him to pack a bag.
Billy doesn’t want to miss more time with the baby. Sally reminds him this could be the last time he sees his mom, and that he could bring her the news of her granddaughter and maybe find some peace. She tells her husband she’s there for the good and the bad. Sally is a brand-new wife and is already running the household like a general.
Then she tells him she’s sure he wants to know how Adam Newman ended up delivering the baby. In Sally’s version, Adam was only paying his respects and was on his way out when her water broke. He tried calling Billy, but Billy didn’t pick up, and Audra Charles had taken her phone. Sally wants them to forget it was Adam, which is a lot to ask of any husband. Crying, she explains she was terrified, and she wouldn’t let Adam leave the room to find Billy. Adam helped her stay strong. Billy is grateful Adam was there but disappointed that he wasn’t.
Right on cue, in walk Adam and Chelsea Lawson. They check on the baby while Billy steps aside and cringes. They’ve brought an outfit from the Athletic Club, which is a bold choice for a baby who has already been promised the best wardrobe in town. Billy is glad they came, and he shocks Adam by shaking his hand and telling him how grateful he is. Sally announces that Jill might not make it, and Adam and Chelsea are sorry to hear it. After they get confirmation that the bride and baby are fine, Sally thanks Adam again.
Once Chelsea and Adam leave, Sally thanks Billy for shaking his hand. He can’t be mad at the guy for helping their child into the world. A handshake in the living room is a small gesture, but in this family it counts as a peace treaty.
Will Billy’s handshake with Adam last, or is it a one-time truce? Email your theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com. The more dramatic, the better.

Victor Newman Wants to Know What Nick Did to Matt
Over at the ranch, Nick Newman arrives as Victor Newman hangs up with Snapper, and Victor breaks the news to his son: Jill has had a heart attack, and it’s very serious. Victor has had his battles with Jill over the years, but he has always respected her. Nick reminds his father that Jill has had as many close calls as Victor has, and Victor is still around. It’s a comfort offered by a man who knows exactly how that sounds.
The conversation turns to Matt Clark. Nick says he found Matt at Sharon Newman’s place, and the old Matt seemed to be creeping back. Sharon was terrified, and Matt had a breakdown and asked her to be his therapist. Victor can’t decide if the man has lost it or is putting on a performance, but he’s sure Matt is a menace and would like a word with him. Nick explains that Matt checked himself into a psychiatric ward and that Nick drove him there. That makes no sense to Victor. “What did you do to him?” he asks, with the tone of a thundercloud interviewing a witness. Nick insists Matt is secure, but his father worries Matt could check himself right back out, and that his son might go to extremes to keep Matt from hurting the family.

Adam Newman Can’t Put It Into Words
At the Athletic Club, Chelsea can see Adam isn’t okay. He admits last night was a lot, and she pushes him to say how he feels. He can’t put it into words. He really doesn’t know. So she drags him down to the lounge and orders him to tell her, and he lists a bunch of feelings the way other men list demands. He doesn’t want to drag her into this, but she wants to help him make sense of it, and he sniffles, embarrassed.
At the bar, Adam explains that he kept telling himself he had to get it right so Sally wouldn’t lose another baby. Chelsea reminds him that he delivered a healthy baby and that Sally must be grateful. He’s relieved it all worked out, but when he held the baby, he felt so much joy, and then he thought of Ava. Chelsea asks how she can make it easier, and he says listening was enough. He’d like to see Sally and the baby. He’s surprised Chelsea supports that, and he thanks her. She thinks Billy might surprise him and be happy the baby is safe, because Adam and Sally are connected forever. Adam suggests she come with him.

Victoria Newman Serves Her Mother Quiche and the Whole Story
At Society, Victoria Newman and Nikki Newman are working through quiche and wedding gossip when Victoria fills her mom in on Adam delivering Sally’s baby. Nikki is flummoxed, so Victoria recaps the entire saga, and Nikki is sure Billy wasn’t pleased. “Poor Adam,” she grumbles. Both women feel for him, delivering a baby girl after losing one.
Nikki asks how Victoria feels about her ex getting married and having a new baby. Victoria says the life they shared was a long time ago and that they’ve both moved on. She reminds her mom about Cole and thinks Sally is perfect for Billy. Nikki hopes he doesn’t screw it up again. When they check her messages, Nikki sees pictures of Baby Ruby. She knows Victoria is still grieving Cole and hopes she finds happiness again. Victoria claims she’s happy now. Maybe one day, she says, with the confidence of a woman whose phone has been busy.
Victor joins them and says Jill’s condition isn’t looking good. Nikki says Lauren Fenmore is flying to London and that she’s confident it’s not Jill’s time yet. Victoria reminds them that someone should tell Esther Valentine. Victor tells his daughter she needs to fly to London and finish a deal. When they fill him in on Sally’s baby and Adam delivering it, he says, “I’ll be damned.” After Victoria leaves, Victor tells his wife their daughter is back on track, after she went missing the other day and nearly missed a meeting. Outside, Victoria sends “Boris” a text, asking to meet up in London. Back on track is one way to put it.
Should Billy get on that plane right away, or wait for Cane’s report first? Tell us in the comments below.
